Flask, Cajun has this really annoying tendency to ignore other people's valid points and questions. He just plows on, spouting the same argument in the face of coherent, meaningful facts. If you sting him with the truth, he just doesn't answer back.

I know. I always tell myself I am going to ignore him, but my fear of other people reading his posts and accepting them as fact always makes me put him in his place.

He should really go to the poli board. That kind of idiocy will get him all the attention he wants.

do you watch the game and mutter, "frickin' Les Miles. I hate that guy", when Brandon LaFell catches a touchdown or Patrick Peterson breaks up a pass?

Yes, he has reached that point. I realized it six pages into his last foray into LSU's current recruiting practices. He did not answer this part of my post that day either.

quote:

You are to the point of pulling against the team you claim to be a fan of. You wish for LSU failure because you think it will prove your argument. In the future you will be on here telling us how great our boys are doing for some other school. You will relish in the failure of any OOS recruits.

He did admit he was close to the situation though
quote:

You damn right I'm close to the situation and have been for quite some time...I'm not a transplant or some little kiddy from Tennessee hanging out...I'm Louisiana-can you follow that? If you don't like my opinions on Les Miles recruiting, fine...BUT, don't pretend to know me or my situation because you disagree...Can you dig what I'm saying?

Wow. That's a pretty telling statement. I think I'm going to take Flask's advice and just ignore him. He comes from such a wacked out perspective, I can't even begin to try and reason with him. He's certifiably nuts by letting his love of La. recruits color his happiness in LSU's success.

He's acknowledging that he'd be happier with us taking all LSU recruits only and fielding a ULL or ULM-caliber team.

Let me spell it out for you...

My head hasn't increased in size because we have had some success...I haven't reached the point where I can "dis" other schools and say they ain't worth a shite-especially for picking up our home kids...Can you dig it?..Clear enough...

You got these little punks running around here that think our shite doesn't stink...Half of them aren't even from Louisiana...Need some more clarification?

I live in Texas and they used to call themselves Texacans.
Remember the crazy girl in the Tom Selleck movie, "Quigley Down Under".
She said she was a natural-born Texacan.

You probably have to have lived on the bayou and had experience hunting gators to understand it.

I heard the sky is falling on LSU's in-state recruiting--Saban's coaching staff.

I'm sure you weren't expecting this, but your thread has really just blossomed into another round of Cajun 61 bashing Miles for looking outside of LA, while others argue in favor of a 50/50 balance of kids from LA and out of state.

All of these reports about the fence around LA (especially New Orleans) are wildly exaggerated though. Last year, there were some Alabama fans talking about how Mingo, Randle, and Davenport were all going to be playing for the Tide in 2009. This year, it's the Tennessee fans who think that Coach O and Frank Wilson will pull half the state to TN. So far, they have taken one kid (albeit an extremely well-regarded prospect) from the class of 2011 so I am not exactly ready to panic
