Hey, we just offered a kid from Iowa...Better update the OOS recruiting list

Yep, Florida offered him awhile back and they're building a relationship with him, looks like he's goin to camp down in Gainseville.

Are you really that stupid? Florida could build a whole team out of in-state talent. Not many people bitch about the classes they bring in.

In response to Tiger 79's post, Alabama hasn't gotten a player out of New Orleans in a while, so I don't see what Burton Burns is talking about.

In the last three years, Alabama has signed 5 players from the state of Louisiana (not from New Orleans, the entire state), with zero guys coming from New Orleans. The closest guy was from Destrehan. Burns has done nothing but fail to land LA recruits the past few years, except for Eddie Lacy, who will probably never suit up for Alabama in his life.

Robby Green

But I don't think LSU even offered him, if I remember correctly.

Landry has been the best WR at camp, thus far. (for all grades)

For those of you who care.

Not surprising. Who are some other WRs that attended the camp besides he and Reed?

Markeith Ambles is probably the biggest name there.

Dyjaun Lewis
Quinton Dunbar
Vincent Sanders
Da’Rick Rogers
Anthony Creecy
Antonio Goodwin
Marc Gooch
Stephen Alli
Tehvyn Brantley

Those guys said they will camp here, not sure who all showed up. Some will come to the 2nd camp.

Jabriel Washington ('11) has also been extremely impressive.

Damn, I just asked a question

Like I said, I really don't follow recruiting that much and besides its all a crapshoot anyway.

The only thing I can remember Terry Bowden making sense about was once I heard him say you should grade the classes after the NFL draft and see which school puts the most in the pros.

I just worry about that lil sawed off sumbitch and his cronies, Wilson, Thompson and others besides an LSU coach go to a spring game to look at some Westbank talent.

thanks for the updates

As for Landry's interest in LSU:
quote:

“LSU is the in-state team, and I am always watching them,” he said. “Basically, I love them to death. LSU is out front right now, and they will always be out front.”

Yeah, just about sounds like a lock.

Apparently he's friends with Frank Wilson, though, so I won't call him a lock just yet.

just like every kid in LA that plays football apparently, at least accd to most tenn. fans.

how is it a 16-17 year old from Lutcher is friends w/ a coach who hasn't lived in his homestate for that past 5 years? Did Wilson befriend Jarvis when he was 11? Define 'friends'

Do you know anything about a kid named Tyron Matthews? A CB from LA, he's looking good.

haven't heard of him.

So there hasn't been confirmation whether Ambles and Rogers actually made the camp or how they've performed? Has Landry been the only WR singled out?

I hadn't heard of him either.

Ambles is there, those are the only 2 names I've seen mentioned.

*Edit- and Jabriel Washington.

I don't really give a "freak" about what Florida does or is doing...

What I do care about is "other" people beating the bushes and bayous over here looking for talent while we play in Washington and freakin Iowa...

Then when a Florida State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and some of the rest of them offers a LA kid-I hear, "well he's not LSU Material"-"all those schools suck"...

If you can't see it, that's on you...You are obviously not very educated...

no suprise, Landry won MVP for top sophomore.

And if any Bama fans are reading this, Blake Sims won MVP at WR.

Multiple MVPs were given out for each, though.

Does your mom know you're using her computer?

I simply cannot accept that you are an LSU fan. I mean, do you watch the game and mutter, "frickin' Les Miles. I hate that guy", when Brandon LaFell catches a touchdown or Patrick Peterson breaks up a pass?

It's like you wake up every morning and say to yourself in the mirror, "frick logic- I'm gonna do life the hard way."

Do you not think all of those schools would happily trade their position for ours.
