Some don't know the full story. He handled it well at first....or so we were led to believe, but lately it has taken a turn for the worse.
I do not know the entire story, but once he decommits I think pretty much everything is fair game. LSU doesn't have to hold the scholarship. If they do, it is because The coaching staff thinksit is worthwhile to do so.
Maybe there is something going on thatI am unaware of. But I can't think of anything he could do that wouldbe unfair to LSU given that he decommitted at such an early date.

Shea thought that his de-commitment at the time, wasn't because the kid didn't want LSU.
Family is pulling some strings....
His heart is all LSU
However, others are pushing him to "look around"
so in the end, he may still be with LSU..but he is going through the exercise as "encouraged" to do so by someone in his family, presumably his mother.
Let's watch our comments

So why consider AU and Bama? I promise you they have as highly rated rb's on their roster. So IF that is why he is leaving, NO DOUBT he should stay put.
I don't follow Auburn closely, but know they have Dyer and McCaleb. Who is 3 next year?
Bama I follow because one of my closest friends is from Mobile. I know they have Trent and Lacy next year assuming Ingram goes pro. After that, no one. They are not high on anyone else and are hard after Hart (Mich Commit), Hill, and #1 target Crowell (UGA or Bama).
If Auburn has no 3 and Bama doesn't sign Hart or Crowell, Hill would be 3 on their depth chart.
WIth LSU, provided Ridley stays, Hill could be 5 on the depth chart behind Ridley, Ware, Ford, and Hilliard. If Ridley leaves due to suspension, it could change the equation if Hill isn't afraid of competition. If he believes he could beat out Hilliard, he could be 3 on LSU depth chart as well if Ridley leaves.

I wouldn't quite put him in the Janzen jackson category but i've heard some things that are putting him in the same ballpark.I haven't been told straight out that he is an Auburn silent(other than by Auburn guys that i don't find completely credible)but have been told that it's the 2 teams named that are what should be the eyeopener.Auburn's biggest rival and the home school. Both are/were working Hill very hard. That said i don't quite buy all the Auburn stuff just yet.Maybe I just haven't talked to the right guy yet but I don't feel he's Auburns right now.If the silent and manipulation stuff is true then I say watch out for Collins.I'm the biggest supporter of Collins and have argued why Auburn doesn't have a chance to Auburn guys many times since the rumors started but if Hill is being manipulative then there has to be a reason for it other than just Hill. Those Collins rumors have reached some very credible people in the recruiting business and they swear that he and Auburn are checking each other out very seriously. That said all of them always say at the end that they doubt he switches and will sign with LSU.Leads me to believe they are covering all sides.Saying it's possible so if it happens they can fall back on it and saying they think he signs with LSU to cover that side.At the end i think it means the rumors are a little true but not as much as the Auburn guys would lead you to believe. We'll see.

Recruiting has now become a soap opera for delusional juvenile morons. I got out when the dumbass recruits started throwing hats on the ground and talking about "swagga".
Shame.
Shame.

I think people overestimate the whole depth chart thing when it comes to recruiting. Sure, if a team is loaded with young talent, that will probably factor in. But most of these kids aren't scared of a little competition. And just about every SEC team signs a quality RB every year. Hell, even Vandy has two good ones in Warren Norman and Zac Stacy.
More importantly - I think - is what the current players are doing on the field. How many touches do they get? How are they utilized? What types of schemes and plays does the offense run, what types of holes and lanes are produced, etc.

Alabama"s RB's not including Ingram
20 Carlson, Nate RB 6-4 230 Jr (2V) Birmingham, AL (United States Air Force Academy)
23 Dee, Craig RB 5-11 193 So (1V) Pembroke Pines, FL (Cypress Bay HS)
6 Goode, Demetrius RB 5-9 220 Jr (3V) LaGrange, GA (Hargrave Military Academy)
25 Grant, Corey RB 5-9 186 Fr (HS) Opelika, AL (Opelika HS)

21 Howell, Ben RB 5-9 193 So (1V) Gordo, AL (Gordo HS)
42 Lacy, Eddie RB 6-0 212 Fr (1V) Geismar, LA (Dutchtown HS)
3 Richardson, Trent RB 5-11 220 So (1V) Pensacola, FL (Escambia HS)
18 Sims, Blake RB 6-0 195 Fr (HS) Gainesville, GA (Gainesville HS)
26 Tinker, Nick RB 5-10 215 Fr (1V) Ralph, AL (Tuscaloosa County HS)
Auburn's
5 Dyer, Michael RB 5-9 215 Fr (HS) Little Rock, AR (Little Rock Christian Academy)
27 Fannin, Mario RB 5-11 227 Sr (3V) Hampton, GA (Lovejoy HS)
45 Hooper, Davis RB 6-0 207 Jr (2V) Montgomery, AL (Trinity Presbyterian HS)
44 Lymon, Patrick RB 5-10 176 Fr (HS) Harvest, AL (Sparkman HS)
23 McCalebb, Onterio RB 5-10 165 So (1V) Fort Meade, FL (Hargrave Millitary Academy)
32 Smith, Eric RB 5-10 239 So (1V) Seffner, FL (Armwood HS)
And there are about 10 more players that have RB potential as athletes not listed at any positions.
So I see no way you think he is already #3 at either, DEFINITELY not at Ala! And the 2 in front of him at AU will get ALL of the touches, period!

Hooper and Lymon(who I've never even heard of) are both walkons. Hooper got some carries in trash time, but will never see any real action, barring injuries to everyone in front of him.
Fannin is a Sr and Eric Smith is an H-back, who will only carry the ball if Dyer and McCalleb get hurt. McCallebb is not an every down back, so we've really got one guy coming back next year that can tote the rock consistently for a whole game. Ladarius Phillips(redshirt) is another possibility, but he will more than likely end up on the D line. He's about 275/280 lbs and I just don't see him being more than a situational RB, if that. He played both RB and DT as a sr in high school in 09.
Auburn is looking to take two RB's this year and at this point it looks most likely to be 2 of Tre Mason, Savon Huggins and Hill apparently.
I have absolutely no idea if Hill is a silent commit, but it sounds like he really likes Auburn right now, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens in Feb.

5 Dyer, Michael RB 5-9 215 Fr (HS) Little Rock, AR (Little Rock Christian Academy) #1
27 Fannin, Mario RB 5-11 227 Sr (3V) Hampton, GA (Lovejoy HS) - Gone
45 Hooper, Davis RB 6-0 207 Jr (2V) Montgomery, AL (Trinity Presbyterian HS) - Scout team.
44 Lymon, Patrick RB 5-10 176 Fr (HS) Harvest, AL (Sparkman HS) - Scout team
23 McCalebb, Onterio RB 5-10 165 So (1V) Fort Meade, FL (Hargrave Millitary Academy) - #2
32 Smith, Eric RB 5-10 239 So (1V) Seffner, FL (Armwood HS)- Hback. Not even sure he got 1 carry all year and is a junior next year. Not relied on as RB.
We will sign two backs this year. A big back behind Dyer and a speed back behind OMac. Both will pretty much be second string immediately depending on formation and play call.

You're right about the overestimation.
Also Hill is who asked Hilliard and Magee to commit

Then why come to Alabama? Auburn of all places. Sheesh. This place is awful. It doesn't have anything better than Louisiana and it is missing a whole lot that Louisiana has. Unless "getting out of LA" just means that she wants money, then I don't see why she'd come to Alabama, especially Auburn.
