Completely blows my mind he came back for a 2nd season at Auburn...really really paying for it now. Just flushed away millions of dollars.

Can you show me where he flushed away millions of dollars? You don't know shite dude, shut your mouth

Uhh by not entering the NFL draft maybe?
Posted on 8/11/15 at 8:55 am to WhoDatNC
He hasn't been kicked off of auburns team and I highly doubt he will. Even if he does some NFL team is gonna take him pretty high and he's still gonna make millions.

I think a lot of people don't realize how good he is.
There is a 1% chance he doesn't play this year. The fact that despite rumblings, there is no response from Auburn proves that they aren't going to dismiss him.

He also may have been advised to stay so that he can mature a bit. Who knows. ONly he and his close family know why he stayed.

He should've went to the NFL, but he didn't. No chance Gus kicks him off the team unless it's REALLY serious

If he doesnt make it back, should be pretty obvious. It was an insanely stupid decision to come back, he would have been a 1st/2nd round pick this past draft.

Derrick Dillon is a similar player to Speedy
That's laughable

So what will you say when he comes back to practice, goes nuts this year, and gets picked top 10, as opposed to probably late 2nd early 3rd after last season?
Even if he gets kicked off no chance he slips past the 3rd in the 2016 draft

I don't think he finished the season healthy on or off the field.
Probably well advised to stay at Auburn, if he could stay out of trouble.
And even if trouble follows him, Auburn is exceptional at dealing with trouble. LOL

Cam rob and speedy are the only 5 star misses
Would landing Cam Sims have helped in landing Cam Rob?

I believe the correct answer is: who gives a shite?
Posted on 8/11/15 at 11:46 am to husslemane
Obviously, but we didn't want Cam Sims so it's a mute point. No guarantee that group would have come here even with an offer to Sims.

LSU will survive and thrive without these guys...but it doesn't make sense to pretend those guys aren't great players.
Where does luxury equal not great player? Where does inconsistent hands equal not great player? Coates also had inconsistent hands, but he was on fire the last two years.
Williams would have done nothing to help our situation last year, plus he was injured a couple games and suspended for the bowl game.
Speedy is a great player and will be an ALL SEC player the next two years, but again, he was a luxury. Before he announced we had already had Quinn, Chark, and Upchurch, and then after he announced, we got Dupre on NSD. Donte Jackson looks to be an excellent option as a return man, Dillon is similar athletically to Noil and Tyron Johnson has Odell Beckham ability. With Dural and Diarse already top 5 at the position, is Speedy really a miss? We're freaking loaded!

ETA: dammit, shoulda read Bayoubengal's post first. Btw, they are usually well laid out very good posts.

I don't think its an issue of how good he is. Everyone knew he was talented. Its just that he has character issues and I'm surprised it took him this long to do something like this honestly. Oh wait, it has already happened....

Williams' short career at Auburn has been filled with bumps. He arrived in the spring looking to get away from a trouble past at home, and was suspended for the Outback Bowl after missing practices in December. Malzahn said at the time the receiver violated undisclosed team rules during a time in which Williams incited speculation by posting a picture of himself on Instagram with a black eye.
In May, Williams insinuated he was unhappy in a tweet and was possibly leaving the program following final exams on May 6.
"Ion [sic] think This where I wanna be," Williams posted

The guy obviously has anger management issues and I don't think we are missing much. That's three incidents in 9 months lol. Sometimes talent isn't everything.

Two 5* misses in Duke Williams and Gerald Willis turned out to be good things.
Tony Brown appears to not be a miss, based on our recruiting success at his position last year. He's going to be a good one, but we will be more than fine.
Speedy is elite, but Malachi and Tyron Johnson make it okay.
I totally buy all of that.
But as far as Cam Rob goes, I'll just drink.
