Based on what?

Based on the fact that I am friends with one of the player's father and speak to him often regarding the University players. He attends their practices regularly and all the games. So I certainly believe what he is saying, very honest straight up guy. He said Dylan is being recruited VERY HARD by Bama and that they (him and his family) really like their program, stadium, coaches, and atmosphere etc. Look, I'm not saying he is definitely going to Bama, but just don't want y'all thinking he will automatically be a Tiger and we have no worries. On the bright side, he did say that we have the biggest advantage on the fact that BR is his HOME and thinks that's where his heart is and he would be stupid to go elsewhere bc he would be treated like royalty here, whereas at Bama he would just be another body on the bench for probably 2 years before he even saw the field or got legitimate playing time. Take it FWIW...

Will we be having this conversation if Saban is sitting in Indianapolis I'm
January? It seems like this year has really worn on him and a change of scenery may not be out of the question.

Saban isn't leaving Alabama until he retires. How the frick do people still think he will leave?

He has said he hated the NFL for a ton of reasons and would never go back.

He isn't going to get paid more by anyone in college besides Texas and that ship sailed.

He is 63 years old, owns a car dealership in Tuscaloosa where his son works, and he has put down roots.

I could see him retiring in a couple years and maybe doing some TV stuff, but the guy isn't coaching anywhere else.

I don't understand why LSuperior responded to my post though because I never said anything about where he was going!

The only reason I responded is bc of the numerous comments that he is "all LSU" and basically we don't have to worry. Simply adding to the mix that Bama is a serious threat in his recruitment process. Believe me, I'm a DIEHARD LSU fan to the end and want him at LSU as bad as any of us, but I'm just being honest and informing y'all of what was told to me. Last I check, this IS and LSU recruiting forum so I'm just adding to the mix. Some of y'all get so worked up for any little thing when it's something that may not necessarily be in our (LSU's) favor or things may change and we aren't the favorite anymore (again, not saying we aren't, just saying Bama is more of a threat than most realize).

To be fair, that is worth absolutely nothing.

Let's say that you are being honest, and that a friend did tell you that, it doesn't mean that he is not lying his arse off or passing on bad information.

Why would he do that? I don't know but people do it all the time. Everyone likes to have their inside sources. It makes them feel good I guess.

We have all watched posters on this site provide inside information or perspective that was proven to be bold faced lies.

So you may have intended to pass on information, but I wouldn't take it personally that people opt no to buy into what you are saying strictly off of face value.

Take it fwiw.

ETA: TO be fair to you, people on here can really be jerks.

I am pretty sure that anyone who follows recruiting understand this.

I just think people get annoyed at posters, posting anything there hear from whatever source as the gospel.

Playing devil's advocate here, but what makes your source more reliable than anyone else who comes on here claiming to have similar information?

Yeah, no doubt he really likes Bama.

It's so unfortunate too.

Guice decommitted because he just wanted a 5th star. I actually think Dylan really is considering Bama. It stinks.

LSU has something special coming up and would love to see Dylan be a part of it.

All I'm saying is that people keep posting "all LSU" which is not the case at the moment...THAT'S IT! It's not like I just "heard" this from someone else who "heard it from a friend." The guy is close to the University school and football program beings that his son is on the team. I'll just keep it to myself from now on, didn't realize how many feathers would be ruffled by simply stating the truth. Have a great day! Geaux Tigers as always!

The guy's kid being on the team does not necessarily make him close to the program. I have coached for many years, and I can tell you that most parents over-value themselves.

Now, I have no problem with you posting what you heard, that is what this board is for, but you are coming off as very petty because people questioned your information, which they are also allowed to do on this board.

I also think the all LSU is mostly just a running joke on this board now. I think everyone realized the situation once he decommitted.

Poster is desperate for attention, gets it, then throws up his arms, "aww shucks I'm just an lsu fan."

Except it's not "the truth." Unless it comes from jrevonte or Dylan, his leader is an opinion based on third hand info. You can't bitch at people for saying LSU is leading then act like Bama being in it is the gospel. Spare us the temper tantrum and taking the ball and going home act just cause people question you. Every year people get on here claiming to know a recruit or their family and saying such and such will happen, and it rarely ever does. A month ago a guy on here claimed to personally know Divinity and said LSU didn't have a chance. He's now an LSU commit, and went on record saying he became one silently about when that guy was posting about him.

Yep you nailed it! That's it, I just want attention. Beings I have only 135 posts in 6 years on here I must really post A LOT for all that attention!

Maybe, maybe not, but you sure are acting like a butt hurt little girl right now because nobody kissed your arse over 5th hand information.

As quiet as the family has been since he has decommitted do you really think the kid is going to run around in bama gloves every day at practice?

And posted about it in a thread housing a video where the kid himself described why LSU is still his leader and further states that he hasn't even given consideration to who is second.

If Dylan Moses doesn't go to LSU, they will be just fine. Unless he is an elite QB or a once in a generation RB like Fournette, LSU will fill his position with a quality player. LB's don't impact the program like a QB or RB. Patrick Willis was probably the best LB in the SEC in the pasrt decade and Ole Miss went 7-16 in his 2 All American years.

I agree. Would love to have him but if he goes Gump then he's just another Gump in the crowd instantly becoming one of the most despised people in BR if not La. It's his life and he's gotta live it.

Dylan seems to be a terrific young man in every respect. I cannot imagine him not being in purple & gold. He's intimately familiar with the players, the coaches & everything LSU. I believe the LSU staff as well as the players & fans have considered him as family since middle school & until proven wrong, I have to believe that when the time comes he'll be the next great Tiger.
