i dont that it is true. but a rumor, and "sfp knows" are two different things. too many really bored people on this board not to question some. you cant say it is true, unless you were there. and i know i was not.

i already said i agree with you on the "opinion" of him.

did LSU win the national championship in 2007?

the only way you can know is if you were in the dome

he just thinks i'm being negative towards LSU football

it's no secret that lane was a horrible/lazy coach and a good recruiter who opened doors in florida under miles

in 2007 and 2008 our DL had almost no pass rush and didn't really know technique worth a shite

the last year we had a good DL pass rush was 2006. that's lane's first year.

these guys were coached by dunbar and saban's people. it got worse every year from 2006 on

lane did not coach

i mean did. not. coach.

thats why our DL talent never lived up to the hype on the field. they no shite for technique

brick, thankfully, will change that

this is true.

why do you think Tyson Jackson gets drafted top 5 after getting like 4.5 sacks. He's drafted high based on potential and versatility. They watch film from last year and tell he's poorly coached and playing in a disfunctional defense.

im ok with being called a dick as long as i am not the one passing rumor off as fact. i will give opinions...and not claim that it is fact.

how do you know lane is not a personal friend of mine?

well he was in kind of a unique situation

horrible draft + desperate need for 3-4 DEs on the chiefs = reaching by about 20 picks

i know you are a fan. yes i was there, so i know. and for the third time, i agree with YOUR OPINION, even though we both MAY be wrong.

i was just curious as to how you know. i was expecting an answer more along the lines of you have been a coach for 25 years, or some shite like that.

instead, i am a dick. whatever

when you leave the NFL to go to college and coach the same position, you expect more than just remaining the positional coach. i think that was the main problem

Well, rumor or not, it sure as hell looked like Lane never coached. Glad the days are gone of seeing LSU lineman with one move: bull rush the OL without any technique whatsoever. No spin moves or anything. Just straight up, lets "overpower" you and it didn't work too well under Lane's coaching. In the NC year, our d-line really showed how bad it was when Dorsey got hurt.

Does Haley allow spin moves? I like to see those in DL.

I'm not arguing about Lane's coaching ability.
I'm saying is it better to have haley and lane or is it better to have haley and robinson.

haley would be the dominant coach in either situation.

no one complained when we won a national championship with lane as d-line coach. maybe lane can't coach but he helped develop 2 guys that got drafted in the top 6 in the nfl.

True, but then again those were the only 2 that were worthy of any significance at the collegiate level.
