And no where did I say the kid was garbage....I get it y'all are TC fans and support y'all's kids. I said the kid was good but i don't believe LSU will offer so stop trying to put words in my mouth.

You came across like a prick saying this "no name QB". He likely won't get an LSU offer but personally I think he throws it better than Franks and LSU runs a pro style offense so it fits a pocket passer better than dual threat. Really beyond me when we keep recruiting these DT QBs.

In all honesty, I do not know the kid at all. The video was the first I have ever seen/heard of him. LSU is till a heavy I team that pushes the ball vertically. This kids skill set seems to fit that very well. Just an honest assessment.

I have to say I am very impressed with Kelly's film. He obviously has a strong arm and his height is a huge advantage to him. I understand the Mett comparisons but he looks way more athletic to me. Moves around the pocket well, his mannerisms and footwork look like they are progressing rapidly from the early film I watched. I dont think we will fit Patterson and Franks both in the 2016 class so Kelly is one to watch for sure.

STM was not #1 and won't be #1....rummel has been and probably will be #1 the rest of the year. He could be SEC QB material but I guess we will see....my statement was LSU probably won't offer him. And going to camps is one way you get recognized by SEC teams...plus that's one way colleges can see how you perform against D1 talent

I did not say you called him "garbage". I said he was not garbage. You called him "a no name kid". I did not see where you said "the kid was good". Either way, he will go to camps next summer, and we will see where he stacks up. People around here who have seen him play are impressed with him. I can't ever remember seeing a better QB from around this area. Also, I am not a Teurlings fan at all. Them's fighting words.

Yes I know but we are talking about rankings in all classifications if he ment #1 in 4A then he should have been more specific cause STM I believe isn't even on the top 10 in the overall rankings in state. Now yes I shouldn't have used the words "no name kid" cause it sounded disrespectful but my meaning was no one knows about him outside of TC. His film he does look good but you can't always base opinions off only his good plays....I would like to see him throw at some camps and stuff with other D1 talent and D1 DBs against him before I jump on the bandwagon

STM was No. 1 in Class 4A; Rummel's No. 1 in Class 5A. They could meet in the playoffs with Teurlings playing up into the Division I bracket.

someone better slap Miles across the back of the head if he doesn't offer that kid. He's got enough mobility to make it and a rocket arm. Always looking down field. It's a shame we can't get a QB like that each year or at least every other year.

My dad's coached in the Acadiana area for 30 years, I've seen many QBs over the last 26 years and I do not remember any that threw the ball on this kids level in high school in this area.

I think he will hit some camps this summer. Also I don't think there's 10 teams in the state better than STM. Regardless of what rankings may tell you. They prob should've beat Teurlings but their two best players were hurt in the second half.

Let's bet that your position on this kid completely changes once he gets to camps next summer and the recruiting services change your opinion.

Also, can you please list the 10 schools better than STM going into last Friday night. (STM lost their top 3 offensive players prior to the comeback, including the kid who was dominating the game.)

That's what I said....if I see him do well at camps against other D1 prospects and excels like y'all think he will then yes my opinion will change on him. I'm just not going to base my opinion on a highlight tape....I want to see him in action with D1 receivers and D1 corners defending that's what I'm basing my opinion on with franks and Patterson who both dominated in the summer against the nations best talent. I'd like to see this kid do the same specially him being from Louisiana I want to see every LA athletes excel. And as for the list of 10 teams that could beat STM would be Rummel, Warren Easton, Destrahan, Byrd, Hahnville, Curtis, Landry-walker, Catholic, Acadiana, Calvary. Anyone could be beat but all these teams are top 10 teams

STM if healthy could beat any of those teams. Acadiana isn't top 10 FWIW

I don't understand why people are more impressed with a guy throwing in shorts with no rush than a guy in a game with defenders coming at him. If he can fit a ball into a window for a 5'10" receiver with a 27" vertical, what makes you think he can't hit a 6'2" kid with a 38" vertical?

The most misunderstood part of Kelly is the fact that he is a very, very good basketball player. He plays in one of the toughest districts in the state and was a dominant player as a sophomore. He moves pretty well, especially for his size.

Yeah and he doesnt just play center for them either. I dont get the Mett comparison. He is just as tall but he is a much better athlete than Mett.

Too bad at least one of Patterson, Franks or Kelly isn't in the class of 2015 or 2017.

Tough break that they are all 2016. I wish LSU could talk one of them into taking a grey shirt and coming in in the Spring of 2017, in order to put some separation between the QB's.

It would be nice to build some quality depth at that position and let them all redshirt and learn.

When FSU was rolling back in the 1990's they always seemed to have a redshirt junior QB take over every two years and keep them on top.

Doubt they could beat any of them even if healthy but I'm sure they could beat a couple of them but any of those teams healthy could beat STM....Byrd and Rummel would probably demolish STM. Almost all those teams have only lost to other top 10 teams I listed....STM hasn't played anyone at that caliber this season. TC is good but not against any of those teams.
