Not so fast. He changed it to LSU and said he feels really good about it now.

Oh I agree those LBs are nasty. No doubt about that.

But Chavis has been 1 of the best LBs coach and D. Coordinators in the country the pat 15+ years. The LBs he has put out is ridiculous.

And didnt UCLA just lose Spanos to the NFL? Also, you think yall will promote Ulbrich to DC?

Yall had a great LB core this past year, but Chavis has been putting out big time LBs for the past 15+ years. Cant deny that. He consistently develops really good LBs every year.

The SECRB seems to believe that Young to aTm is a certainty. I really hate to hear that as I think Young has All-American written all over him. He is a Patrick Willis type LB that LSU cannot afford to lose...especially to a conference opponent.

I really hope that Young takes a look at things are realizes that LSU is the best spot for him.

LSU had a down year on defense and was exponentially better than aTm on that side of the ball.

Sumlin, though a defensive player in college, is not going to ever emphasize that side of the ball.

Speedy going to play for Sumlin was a smart decision IMO based on his skillset - I cannot say the same for Young.

Top state players leave all states every year. I would love to get dupre young speedy and all the top in state players but that's never going to happen. We typically do a better job than most states keeping them in state then go out of state well but to act like it a terrible decision to go some where else is crazy. They need to do what they feel like is best for them and I would hope it's to stay in Louisiana but if not I wish them the best of luck until they play lsu.

A young man in High School does not yet know how to make a proper business decision. LSU/Cam's offense has the top receiver duo in college. FSU, Alabama and UCLA aren't even close. The numbers show this. This is how you make a business decision.

Yep Spanos went NFL. The question is how much of the D AND second half adjustments (UCLA was unreal for the most part at this) were Spanos and how much was it Mora... One of Spanos issues (at least as far as CFB) was that he did not recruit at all.

Word is that Ulbrich is the next DC. Most Bruin fans are over the moon with this. Ulbrich is a coaching star on the rise. 10 year NFL vet that got by more on guile and working his butt off Vs big NFL talent. Anthony Barr became a STAR in his first ever year playing LBer under Ulbrich. Ulbrich is one of, if not THE best recruiters on a staff full of great recruiters. If a spot had not opened for Ulbrich he would have moved up and out within a few years... If UCLA pulls Young it will be because of Ulbrich.

Are you fricking serious? Coming to LSU would be as good if not better POSITION for him then any other school in the country. This is really not debatable. That equates to being pretty smart no?

As far as it being the best for HIM, that is a different question/answer entirely. Some people just want to leave. But a better place for a homegrown football player then LSU? I ain't seeing it.

LSU, two receivers coming out as juniors. Both going in early rounds. A business decision is i catch plenty passes along with another receiver. We both get drafted in early rounds and earn a lot of money. Business translates into earnings.

That is most certainly debatable. AND, it's not like he can take all his friends and family to Florida can he?

That might not matter to him, but playing receiver at LSU is just as good as anywhere else in the country. PERIOD. We have the best coaching staff or at least equal to ANYONE.

And a part of making a "business decision" for a WR is... who is throwing me those passes??

Doesnt matter how good you are at WR if you dont have a QB worth a damn.

some people ONLY care about them as players and not as people. It is actually counter-productive.
Why should I care about them as anything more than players? I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just curious. I don't know them personally any better than Joe Schmoe from Tokyo. I'm pretty sure that they could give a rat's arse about me either.

Why should I care for some young man that feels he needs to be coddled and "shown love" by a bunch of strangers? Do they really need that much love? I hope that a FOOTBALL PLAYER really doesn't feel that way. Sounds more like a big pussy to me.

Down-vote me if you wish, but I am just being real. Most people feel the same way, but they just don't have the balls to admit it.

Cam Cameron is one of the best QB coaches in the country. This is not my opinion. This was stated by Archie Manning at the beginning of the season on a radio program. He spoke of how Cam recruited Peyton and how good he is at developing QB's. The reason i am saying this is because you are correct, you can't catch passes without a QB. Ask Z. Mett. Before his injury where he was going. He brought him from erratic to possible high first rounder.

I agree 100% with everything you said. Some people just want to be overly objective and stick it to LSU. And it has shown that it actually DOES affect recruiting.

LSU offers just as much or MORE then anyone? People are actually arguing about this? Pathetic.
