How old is he? I mean will he be coming in 16 or 17 years old?
Posted on 5/10/12 at 10:27 am to Palm Beach Tiger
Think Scout or Rivals lists him at 17 right now.

You know how these South Americans are. He could be 25. We may have to carbon date him.

That would be terrible if we signed him and it came out he was older than everyone thought.

Is his name Manikisse Montimere or Jerry Joseph?

I think that link is from when he was about 15. There are very few videos available. This guy is stealth, like a Zorro/Batman combo, or maybe Bigfoot
I can only hope he was 15 here cuz he looks extremely raw and soft around the basket. But I mean, a college offer sheet like his is impressive and must mean he's filled out that lanky frame and refined his game.

While we don't have any evidence to suggest he isn't 17, if we signed him and it turned out he was really 25 would he be ineligible? What's the rule now? I remember in the '80s that GA Tech had a foreign center, Yvonne Joseph (?) that started along side of John Salley. I'm pretty sure Joseph was 27. I remember watching a GA Tech v. Georgetwon game where Joseph manned up against a 20 year old Patrick Ewing pretty well.

The video shows his birthday as June 21, 1994... So he's almost 18 if that info is correct...

He's 17. I was just joking about the age issue.

I find it hilarious how all these so called LSU fans were anti CJJ prior to the hire but now are all over the bandwagon...
I never doubted his abilities...now lets hope he goes out and wins us some games...

Kudos to Coach Jones on what seems like a All Star hire in Kirby.

Just make sure Doctor O'Neal is on campus when we bring Trocha in for a visit. Signed, sealed, and delivered.

I thought Coach JJ could be an outstanding hire, but he's impressed me as much as any coaching hire we've ever had over this amount of time.
He's leaving no stone unturned, and after the last staff's seeming unwillingness to recruit, it's refreshing.

just the fact that we're even in competition for some of these guys amazes me after what the last staff was doing
