247 and Rivals have him as a 4 star....and ESPN doesn't have him ranked....it figures...

Nice pick up IMO

Ok fellas....there are some kids in the Katy pipeline and i mean SUPER BEASTS...most are the current 8th and 7th grade class......this is going to pay huge dividens in the future having them look up to an LSU commitment under the Friday night lights.

From his video, he doesn't seem super strong or super fast, but it looks like he has great field vision, knows where the blocks will be, knows how to make people miss. Of course, he's only a sophomore there and bound to be even more impressive as a senior.

The word "Katy" on the chest of the first pic isn't a dead give away?

Top pic is Taylor. Ideal mold of our current rb group particularly Ware, Hilliard and Hill. His measuarables match with Blue but Blue is a completely different level of athlete. That kid is really an immensely talented guy. If he were a feature back, he'd be getting a ton of love nationally.

I like this guy, always have. I had kind of forgotten about him in the past few months because of his injury early last year (second game I think). He was indeed a beast...as a sophomore...in 5A South Texas football. That says a lot. He got offers...from Alabama...Oklahoma...LSU. That says a lot.

If he comes back from his injury and shows out this year watch for him to blow up in the rankings...Top 10 RB, Top 100 Player type stuff.

Katy is perennially a top 5 team in Texas 5A football. If the kid can carry the load as a sophomore for that type of team, he's got skills. He led his team to the state championship game that year. He had over 100yds in the first game of the season before tearing his ACL in the 4th quarter of that game against Galena Park North Shore. Assuming he comes back from his ACL injury, which RG3 came back fine from an ACL, he'll be one of the best backs in the state this year.

Because of the injury and because really does anyone know the guidelines for the way Rivals ranks players? No one could rank him correctly because he missed almost all of his JR year. Maybe Rivals is projecting him based on his sophomore film but there's no way they knew more than anyone else at the time he was ranked. 247 will evaluate him this spring, summer and fall to fully see how he projects at the current time. If he camps at LSU then Simmons will see him in person. He always goes to LSU's camp.
