this confusion is unacceptable. the administration of this staff is starting to be questioned. confusion about taylor, confusion about robinson, we slow played massington (who wanted to commit at spring game), we slow played melvin jones, we have johnson as no. 1 choice at qb.

all is well that ends well, but this is starting to look very messy on the part of the staff.

They shouldn't just offer players just because the player wants to commit.

It is not reasonable to believe that taylor committed without ever being told he had an offer. he was told at some point that he had an offer from LSU. most kids don't have any idea of this concept of non commitable offer that has been dreamed up by recruitniks.

Katy's head coach (Gary Joseph) called back and said, yes, that his four-star RB (Adam Taylor) committed to LSU.

247 had him as a commit yesterday. Nothing new has come out yet.

Because the subject of the thread is wrong as of now until better clarification comes out

OK so if you have an uncommitable offer what the hell does that mean? How in the hell can you have an offer but not really have an offer. Sounds like having a deal but you don't. Straight out contradiction.

I guess we all have uncommitable offers from LSU.

Uncommittable means more along the lines of a conditional offer for different reasons. Usually it is academic reasons, but for him it would be wanting to see how he runs after the injury

I completely understand the reasoning and object of noncommitable offers and in 99% of the cases there is never a frickup but this one is a frickup in communication somewhere. The kid not knowing his offer is noncommitable is one thing but a kid being confused as to whether he commited or not is not an area where there should be any confusion. In every case of a commit I've seen there is direct communication with the coaches where a kid tells the coach recruiting him or the HC that he is commiting. There is no other way to commit. So basically the way I read it is that Taylor communicated with the staff that he wanted to commit and still somewhere in that conversation he missed the part where the staff member told him they weren't accepting at this time. That should never happen. It's the coach's job to fully and clearly communicate to the kid that his commit is not being accepted. There should never be any confusion on that. It's unacceptable.

Now either one of our coaches failed to properly and clearly communicate to Taylor that his commitment wasn't being accepted, Taylor is pulling a Storm Johnson and trying to force our staff's hand or the kid was told to wait until he visits before it would be official and the kid just jumped the gun. What other options are there. Telling the kid that they want to see him run is fine and acceptable but it still should have been very clearly communicated to the kid that until then his commitment is not accepted. If the coach has to repeat it 100 times to make it clear then that is the step that needed to be taken. Unfortunately we'll likely never know what really happened but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that in the public's eye LSU will be branded the ones in the wrong because they can't publically speak about it to clarify. Just a bad looking situation.

BTW I'm not going as far as the other poster who had a doomsday attitude because overall I'm very pleased with the more aggressive stances our staff has taken in recruiting this year. Being pleased overall doesn't mean that they shouldn't be called out if they fricked this situation up. There is a reason for concern on this one at this point. Until some clarification is given it looks bad on our staff's part.(this is the 1st thread I've read today so if clarification is in one of the other threads I withhold the right to take all this back)

Taylor is 8 months into rehab on his torn acl he works out with one of my friends who also tore his acl and said he's two months behind Adam and says hes still gimpy on his knee but should be fine by time season rolls around. my high school plays them and skyline in like the first two weeks of the year. So I know I owe it to the Recruiting Board to let y'all know how Taylor and kincade do
