According to DD, Bama is in on every top LA 2010 recruit

I've been reading DD's top players for the 2010 class and everyone just about list Alabama as a team of interest where they want to take a visit.
Louisiana talent is great, but it is clear that Saban is intentionally going after Louisiana recruits because he thinks he still has a presence in this state and he wants to use recruiting as a way to hurt LSU. He knows he has to take us down to stay on the mountaintop longterm.
Bama fans ask why we can't stand Saban. He directly competes against us and tries to take us out. Why would we like him?
The good thing is, he is only making progress with players we don't want or guys who are academic casualties. But, this is clearly going to get nasty over the next few years. I'd love to see Saban spend tons of time and energy on Louisiana recruits while Tennesse and Auburn start to scoop up the Alabama guys.

Assuming we hold serve with Randle, Broadway will be his break-in recruit next year.
For recruiting purposes, a healthy UT program and a healthy Auburn program are the best way to keep Bama's recruiting down.
He is a great recruiter, Bama has talent in-state, and Bama has the name to recruit across the south...Randle won't be the last recruiting war we fight with Bama.
With all that said, I wouldn't trade where LSU stands in recruiting for the world...our formula is simple...lock down LA and cherry pick MS, TX, and FL.

It won't matter...Alabama implodes this upcoming season, AU will keep Saban occupied as will Tn and UFlorida...Alabama is surrounded by some pretty darn good Programs that still have a lot of upside

That's why people should let the air out of his tires, put sugar in his gas tank, put laxatives in his Lil' Debbies, and do everything they can to annoy this guy.
This is the Ole War Skule and this is war

Well can you blame him for going after great talent? That is what he is supposed to do, right?

Does the fact that AU and UTenn are turning it up a notch cause $aban to try and work Louisiana?
Maybe he's fooled into thinking he'd have an easier time that way but I think he's waaaay off.
We are still LSU and he'll not soon forget that.

Hey Bama Chick, how would you feel if your ex husband who left you for another woman then came back 2 years later wanting to date your sister and be at all your family gatherings? I guess you would be cool with that.

if you were coaching Bama, you would just stay away from La. recruits?

I'm not worried about Saban in Louisiana yet.
I might be down the road but Miles pretty much has this state on lock going against Bama.
He hasn't let one player that we have truly wanted out to Bama.
Broadway will be the first but that's even under different circumstances (the guy's high school coach).
I read an article in the New Orleans paper awhile back that talked about how most high school coaches in LA don't like Saban and wouldn't go out of their way to work with him. But then they really like Miles. Hmmmmmmm....

It's smart, but as legit a reason as any to dislike the guy.

This is rantardism at its worst. What a pathetic comparison.

Saban thought it was going to be a lot easier for him to come in and get top recruits from Louisiana than it has been. Sure he gets a lot of close calls but has had very little success in Louisiana for all the time he has put into recruiting it. He forgot he wasn't at LSU anymore. I hope he keeps striking out. And yes Bama will implode soon as Nicky's wrath will only worsen now that the expectations are up in Bama land. The new commits at Bama are going to hate life soon.

I'm sure Saban just goes after the best recruits he can find, regardless of where they are from. I don't recall many LA kids contributing to Bama's team last season and they actually did pretty good.

TenTex, I didn't come here to argue and you don't have to be a jackass about it. I was just stating that Saban knows LA has tons of talent, why wouldn't he go after it..that's just silly not to.

Yeah, it's smart and I don't blame him. But, there are plenty of great recruits in Georgia and Florida as well and Saban is not all over those states. Of course, he knows Louisiana and he is doing whatever he can to get the best talent. I don't blame him. I'm not staying that he should stay home and leave us alone (although that would be nice).
This is directed toward the Bama fans (and LSU fans) who keep saying that they have no idea why we don't like Saban. Our once beloved coach now spends his every waking moment trying to take us down either directly or indirectly. Why would we like that? If he had gone to Michigan or something, we wouldn't really care. People point to Spurrier going to South Carolina and Florida people not being that upset. Does anyone really think that South Carolina can compete with Florida over the long haul no matter who the coach is? No.
Anyway, this is going to be like the Michigan-Ohio St. 10 Year War. The good thing is, Miles was a part of that and I think that he probably sees it that way as well.
That is why I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't more to this Richardson thing than we think.

Wrong. Do you really think that he is on the top 15 players from Georgia like this? Give me a break.

Because Saban thought that LSU's success was all about him and not about LSU. He thought that everyone loved him and that he could do no wrong. That's why he wrote a book after ONE good season. Where is Tressell's book? Pete Carroll's book? Mack Brown's book? Urban Meyer's book? The fact that Saban wrote a book about how to be a winner after his lone national championship tells you all you need to know about the guy. Then, he bolts to Miami right after it comes out. Funny.

So TenTex is widely known as an idiot then.
