I used Scott’s turf builder on my lawn (mix of St Augustine and centipede) back in the middle of May and got really good results. For some reason I thought you were only supposed to fertilize twice a year but just read they recommend using every six to eight weeks. Thinking about hitting it again this weekend. Mowed yesterday but I assume when mowed doesn’t matter.

Once or twice a year. Any more and it needs to be mowed twice a week.

Be careful, I put out some slow release fertilizer a few weeks ago and I have to cut this bitch every 4 days. It looks good though!

Depends on what you use to fertilize and your soil. I had piss poor soil that lacked nitrogen and I fertilized 3 times this summer and wish I would have done more.

I’m also trying to start a lawn from scratch though.

I fertilize in the spring, summer and fall.

I just follow what Plantec says to do on their news letters.

I usually do mine every 3-4 months. I follow the Randy Lemmon calendar for Southern lawns. I have Zoysia that was put down last November, and it is coming around. I hit it with Sta-Green 15-5-10 fertilizer a couple of weeks ago and it is really coming on.

I don't follow his dates exactly, but for the most part after 9 months I'm happy with it.

I fertilize my Bermuda every 3-4 weeks from APR-OCT. I don’t use synthetics though I’m either using purely organic, milo, or XGRN

Milo is doing wonders for my yard right now. Just have to get over the smell.

I fertilize my yard monthly, but it's bermuda. I wouldn't do it near that much if I had centipede.

I think mine gets fertilized 4-6 times a year. We have a service with a local company for weeds and fertilizing. They come out 6 times a year, but I can't remember if they fertilize every time. I think they only do in the spring and summer.

It really is. I threw it out about 2 weeks ago and my lawn is now a ridiculously deep green. I will be using it all the time now.

I'm just glad I went to home depot instead of buying it off amazon. About half the price in store.

You can fertilize one more time but I’d do it now. If you have a mixture of centipede and St Aug, I would err on the side of less frequent fertilization as centipede does not respond well to excess fertilization - certainly no more than twice a year. St Aug responds well to more frequent fertilization, and higher rates of nitrogen (N).

Milo isn't the best by any means, but the nice thing about it is it's idiot-proof. You can put a little or a ton out, and you won't burn your yard. You get that nice green pop from it because it has iron in it.

33-3-6 five times a year. 33-3-6 xcu during drought conditions. I have tiff 419. If I had st aug I would alternate fert (25-3-5, 16-0-8, or similar) and iron. 2 each.
