What's your fitness goals?

I want 5,6,7.
500 bench
600 squat
700 deadlift

My bests were
435 bench
575 squat
575 deadlift (wasn't good at them back then)

This is my first year sticking to a program longer than a month. Longest was DC training.

Honestly to be a badass in the gym and look like it. For the 2018 I have the following weight room goals while getting down to to below 10% at 185.

Would like to be able to complete all 5 of the greyskull villain challenges(yes event the 100 burpees in 5 min), be able to do the bring sally up challenge with 185lbs and have the following lifts

Deadlift-500
Squat-405(225x50 also)(bw x 100 is another goal)
Bench-315
Standing press-225x5
Power clean-275x3

So advanced to elite in all catagories according to the starting strength standards.

Also I would like to be able to complete the gymnastics bodies foundation courses, handstand courses 1&2 and rings 1.

Also final goal is to beat My score that I got on my army pft 15 years ago when leaving boot camp which will require me to do :

More than 78 push-ups in 2 min(villain challenge calls for 100)
More than 81 sit-ups in 2 min
2 mile run in less than 14:46.

I'm looking to actually beat those reps/times not my age adjusted total score, frick that. So gonna have to start running more, which blows.

That would be impressive

You could easily get that push up challenge with a 315 bench

Sounds weird but that situps challenge would be fairly easy because of squats and deadlifts. Core engagement and hip strength would shoot up.

I will never get that 2 mile goal lol.

Yea I am not far off on the push-ups and sit-ups, but the two mile run is a problem. I ran a mile in 9:28 the other day, first time I ran that long in close to two years. I haven't run 2 miles in prolly 5 years.

And yea the 2 mile run goal is just that, dunno if I can get to that.

Bench-315

Is this a typo?
Looking at your other accomplishments and goals, I would think that you are MUCH stronger than this in bench and could easily get the 100 push-ups in 2 minutes.

Is there a reason why it's not higher? Pec injury?

Dear Lord, man, how old are you? On the one hand, I'd imagine you couldn't be too young as you'd have to have built up a substantial base over years to even consider getting to those. On the other, you'd have to be on the precipice of being too old to take all the gear those numbers would require(Im not judging). Seems like that could lead to injuries and be detrimental to your overall health. No matter, good luck.

Turn 31 on Tuesday. Been lifting since I was 16. I plan on it natural too.

Truly, when I turn 40 in 5yrs: Be strong, mobile, and fast without facing inevitable hip, shoulder, or back surgeries. I've got 4 kids and they are all active, I want to ensure I can lift with my boys when they're in high school and can continue to run track with my girls.

Most of my goals in the gym have become speed focused, I want my modest 350 squat to be explosive more than I want to work toward 400. I do 400m repeats once a week and I'm working on my goal there, just haven't decided - those frickers are pure pain.

3 plate bench, 5 plate squat and a 6 plate deadlift. I've always had a weak bench and pushing over 300 lbs would be a huge accomplishment for me.

I think that'll come at the same time since speed relates to strength. You can't lift something fast unless you get stronger at it or more proficient.

That motivated me even more. Gotta make'm proud! Sometimes I have to lift early in the morning or late at night but I'm gonna do it.

3, 4, 5 plates for bench, squat, and deadlift. I'm 5'10" 175lb and I'm almost there on bench and deadlift. Squat is holding me back a bit though.

Maintain muscle and keep on getting stronger and faster. Currently doing three sets of 3 to 5 for the big three. Sitting at 405/315/355(started deadlifts later than the other two). Haven't had to dip below five reps on any sets so far. If I can have better body comp and hit maxes where I anticipate they'll be, I'll be happy.

I've been slowly losing weight since January, with the biggest drop coming since June. The past month or two I really saw my strength numbers drop.

Also, I didn't seriously squat until this Spring but I did hit 275 back in May. Had to drop 250 on the pins last week.

This week I started a refeed and want to build my strength up again. My goals are to add 100 lbs to my deadlift and squat, and hit 400 on bench.
