What is your cure for this condition?
I like using ice and Tylenol but it seems to be not as effective lately. I know some like stretching and light work the next day.

Active rest. Just moving around and doing a bodyweight exercise for that body part that you worked.

Ibuprofen and light jog, just enough to break a sweat.

NO meds.
Easy movement, foam roller, magnesium glycinate, good nutrition.

Several studies show that ibuprofen slows the healing process and reduces gains.

Ice baths, salt baths, foam rolling, air dyne work, Ice messages, alternating hot and cold showers.
But mainly just time.

I can second this. Read about this in Men's Health a while back. Said don't take any pain relievers for muscle soreness if you're trying to build muscle.

Interesting. Never would have guessed an anti-inflammatory would slow healing. I always took 800mg the next day a few times after a football game or a softball tournament.

Stretch and stay moving. Fighting it from squatting in btb days after not hitting legs enough these last 4 months.

For those say time, you are only doing it to yourself, a foam roller is heaven after heavy leg days

Yeah, for a long time "vitamin I" was standard recovery protocol.
But now we know that a certain amount of inflammation from exercise is required to improve, the natural response IS what makes us come back stronger. In the same vain, too much antioxidant supplementation seems to counter training as well.
Additionally, recent studies show ibuprofen to significantly raise heart "event" risk factors. That's on top of long known risks to your gut.
From what the totality of recent data suggests, ibuprofen should be used exclusively for acute injuries and when prescribed by a Dr.
