People not fixing their ball marks or divots?

The guy you just met giving you swing tips after 4 holes?

The guy who spits sunflower seeds on the green?

The 5some that won't let the 2some play thru?

The 2some that's holding up a 4some?

The guy with head covers for his irons?

Getting hit into from the group behind?

Only seeing the cart girl once?

We used to call them squirrelly groups. They are slow as frick tee to green, but run their asses off to the next tee to hit so they don't let you through. That shite infuriates me

Being hit into when we are slow because 4-some ahead is slow.
Rude, sullen when they show up to play through. Could have asked at the next tee.

The twosome that can't drum up 2 more friends on the weekend. If you can't find 3 more friends wait until late in the afternoon to tee off on the weekend.

My biggest pet peeve is ugly cart girls. Having good looking cart girls is a must at a nice country club. I don't understand why this is so difficult to execute.

What is the etiquette here? Don't let them pass as long as pace is being kept? Let them pass just because they have less than you? I don't have a problem riding up to someone and asking to play through rather than hitting into them as subtle hint.

The worst is the group that's on the tee box still and the group ahead has already putted out on a par 4 or 5. I get par 3s can get bottlenecked but no need to for that on longer holes.

1) slow play
2) being hit into because of #1
3) swing tips from someone who isn't good or I don't know.

This happened to me not long ago. I played with my friend and his 30 something brother-in-law who was on his high school golf team. He thinks he's something just short of pro and was giving out unsolicited "lessons" throughout the whole round. He was the best player in our group but not impressive and certainly not anyone I would want to learn from. The worst of it is that he probably thought he was being charitable.

One I forgot is the group that just hit 210 yd drives on a par 5 but are waiting for the green to clear from 270 out. Never fails. They top it and it goes 60.

One of my playing partner pet peeves is guys that don't mark their ball on the green. I know everyone has their own process but I hate when people rush to putt. If there is anywhere you need to mark your ball and take your time, its on the green.

Oh and most the time, these guys don't putt out and will pick up 3 footers and say, it's in the leather

Nothing worse than unsolicited swing advice mid-round. Nothing. Do people really think you can change your swing mid-round?

I think people trashing the course and not making repairs is pretty bad but it doesn't grind my gears and ruin my day.

When I make a bad shot the last thing I want to hear is some advice. That can ruin at least a few holes!

Water coolers not spaced out properly...

I mean it's simple math. Don't put a water cooler on 2 & 3, and thats it for the front.

I'm going to buy a bunch of ball mark repair tools and give them out every round. Last few rounds I played I was the only one that had a tool.

Pulling off the cart path at tees and greens is the other. Stay on the path. The beer cart will go around.

When someone pulls slightly off the cart path, I always ask if they are expecting a funeral procession to come by?

That's pretty stupid

Marking your ball unnecssarily only slows the round down. I almost hate how much people mark their ball when they aren't near anyone else's line and their ball isn't dirty.

I mark mine usually because I use the alignment line on my ball but if you don't, there is really no point to marking. Read it and hit it.

You have the right to mark your ball, clean it, read the putt, and go through your pre-shot routine. You said yourself you mark your ball to use the alignment line. Every other player has the same right. Acknowledge that right. There are FAR more ways to speed up the pace of play, this isn't at the top of the list.

I disagree, I think it shows courtesy and etiquette and allows people to play in turn. Obviously if ready golf if in agreement with the group then by all means, run up and putt.

Ready golf will become the norm on 1/1/19 according to the USGA and R&A new Rules. I believe courses can early adopt.

He didn't say he disagreed with it. He just said many times it isn't necessary but done anyway.
