Telling someone "good putt" about a foot before it gets there increases your chances of missing by about 80%.

I can't stand that. Especially when I'm playing bad.

players should try to keep the area around the cup pristine. the pinnacle of douchbaggery is dragging ur feet, leaving ur pitch mark, etc, around the cup.

It pisses me off when players fail to follow the rules for golf carts at my club. They think because they pay their $20 for a cart they can drive the thing wherever the Hell they want. Even some of the members with their own carts abuse the rules. If it's "cart path" only for a day then get your lazy arse out of the cart and walk to your ball instead of saying (1) I just forgot this hole or (2) I thought it was dry enough to drive out there. It's these same jerks that bitch and moan when the course conditions are not great.

My house has a green behind it and I've seen all kinds of stupid stuff happen, especially when they allow the weekday fundraiser scramble that draws players that only play once or twice a year. Some stuff is to be expected, which is the trade off for chasing that income, but don't be abusive to the course or the equipment.

Sometimes I can't help myself from voicing an opinion: there are OB stakes within 40 feet of the green and they separate my yard from the green, so it is not uncommon to get balls hit in my yard; I'm watching from inside the house one day when a guy hits a ball 25 yds up in my yard, pulls the cart up and parks, gets out and walks up in my yard (which is fine) I thought to get his ball, he then stands behind the ball to evaluate the shot, walks back to the cart to get a club and returns and addresses his ball, by this point I've stepped onto my patio and before he takes a practice swing I asked if he had $150 cash on him to which he replied "Why?", and I told him that if he takes a divot in my yard and happens to hit a buried sprinkler head, he wasn't making it to the next tee without paying what it would cost to fix; he got all huffy about it and snatched up his ball and said "I didn't know I was in your yard". Freakin' idiot!

my biggest pet peeve right now is

1. The Cart Girl is MIA
2. The person playing with you you don't know and when you move your ball a little says "it's ok i don't care" i'm like nobody asked you.
3. Lack of decent lunch specials.

If I'm playing just a friendly round and drinking and no one cares about the scores at the end, no one should care who does what with the ball.

If we're playing for money, we establish up/down before anyone tees off. Most groups I play with allow for a bump in the fairway when the carts are 90*. And typical LCR rules when it's wet.

At TPC last week i was behind a group, 6 to be exact. I was a solo. They refused to let me play through after i caught them on 8. They would be teeing off, I would roll up, nobody in front of them, and hurry and drive off.

To top it off only 1 of them 6 were in golf attire.

Another thing that i came across was a walker was by himself and talking on his bluetooth incredibly loud. basically yelling for his entire round.

the walkers at my club are all from one company, i'm guessing the boss likes to walk so they all walk to because i know they can afford the cart plan. but its super gay to walk, to me it would kill the whole vibe of hanging out with whoever is in your cart.

Two weeks ago I had this happen twice to me by the same guy.The putts were looking good and he said "its in" and it moved right when he said something. Then a month ago, I had a short birdie putt and a guy said "oh man he's got this putt. He doesnt need to putt this." The putt ended up lipping out. Before, I putted I knew I was going to miss it after he said something.

What?

The game is made to be played walking.

Golf is a walking game.

In Europe the only way you get a cart typically is of you have a medical excuse.

Shitting on walking is shitting on golf itself.
