Slow play.

Getting hit into doesn't bother me much. If they're good balls I pocket them, if they're not I hit them back.

Ready golf will become the norm on 1/1/19 according to the USGA and R&A new Rules.

I still don't think all these proposed rule changes will speed the game up enough to attract the masses like the USGA is hoping. You either have the patience for golf or you don't.

Marking your ball unnecssarily only slows the round down. I almost hate how much people mark their ball when they aren't near anyone else's line and their ball isn't dirty.

If the person putting can see your ball then you should mark it. That's just courtesy.

Exactly

I would never tell someone something for marking their ball, I think sometimes though that the routine can get cumbersome.

And I thought it was stupid that your partner would be bothered my someone else not taking their time. If someone else wants to play faster, not gonna bother me.

I don't think I've played with many golfers that would be bothered at all by a ball not near their line or near the hole.

I know a bunch of them. They even bitch about where you stand and park your cart near the tee.

Instead of trying to speed play up they need to find ways to speed the other factors up.

Bev Cart slowing down groups.
Turn house
And make people aware that golf is a 7 hour day at minimum. So even if ur round is 3.5 or 4 hours you are away from home for 7.

There are acceptable places to stand on the tee and green, as well as acceptable places to park the cart. Take note and learn. No one wants you hovering so close to them that they see you in their peripheral vision during their back swing, or have your shadow over their ball. It's common sense, and is achieved through exercising reasonable etiquette.

I know where to stand and park my cart dick bag. I'm talking about people who are being unreasonable.

I have not read they are trying to attract the masses. I think anything that helps promote a culture of speedier and efficient play is a good thing for golf.

the foursome of hackers who decides to skip the walking single digit twosome because they think we'll hold them up. we don't have to spend ten minutes searching the woods for balls.

i don't mind advice givers as long as they're knowledgeable. I like feedback on my swing as long as the person knows what the hell they're talking about.
