You have AA/Ambient Occlusion/Post Pros and a ton of other features from nVidia and AMD exclusive to PCs. That is what really sets PCs apart from consoles, not resolution and frame rates.
The statement to end the comment about the differences was a general statement on something everyone can understand. Its dumb to even compare versions of games and mislead the dumbs or misinformed in such a way. It pisses me off that these companies, review sites and fanboys would do such a thing.

Got a good deal. You can do that building a pc. No need to rush out and buy the same canned box of parts all the kids get.

Its hard to be "unique" in PC gaming. Someone on this forum got a little pissy when someone purchased "hardware he THOUGHT about purchasing".

These threads are always stupid.
Both have advantages.
Console has weaker power but guarantees you several years of being able to run everything at their highest levels.
PC is much stronger but much more expensive.

Actually, you can build a PC with at the very least equal power to consoles for the same cost. Especially with the APUs AMD just released this month.

True. However, with a ps4/xbone I won't have to drop the graphics down to medium in order to play a game like on a PC.
I'm giving you PC guys props. If you have the money and time then build a super machine.
With a PC I have to invest in a gaming mouse And keyboard as well as a monitor to run 1440p.
I already have a tv, and the ps4 comes with the controller.

I can see how people are interested in all this from a technical stand point but from a practical stand point you could take any one of those screen shots and say it belonged to any of the five platforms and I would think, "cool, that looks pretty great." Its only when you have them side by side do I notice any descrepancies or if one is better... At least from my perspective as an amature gamer.
Having said that, after seeing them side by side, this makes the nex gen consoles look much better than their predecessors so I am happy with my Xbone purchase. I do have to say if I was really gonna scrutinize PS4 looked better than the Xbone.
