***Windwaker Spoilers***

so playing through windwaker atm and I'm at the part with the bird people on their island. the part where the little gitl Medli just got picked up while trying to climb the mountain to get to the dragon. well I've been wondering around for at least an hour trying to figure out what my next step was after I talked to what I think is the chief bird. anyway I finally buckled and had to look at the guide. fill that empty bottle the girl gave me with water and grow those stupid bomb plants.

I thought about needing to blast that rock with a bomb plant but couldn't figure out how to get a bomb into that pit. remember thinking, boy I sure wish those dead plants up there were alive wouldn't of ever thought to grow them back.

anyway I see now what ya'll were talking about needing everything you pick up to put in your inventory.

Zelda games are fairly irrelevant to modern gaming. The premise and gameplay are virtually identical from game-to-game, and they've failed to evolve over the years like similar titles.

Gamers of the past have a lot of nostalgia for things that games like Skyrim do far better today

I did the exact same thing in the exact same part...wanted to slap myself afterwords. I've had to look up two walk throughs since that time as well. One was a legitimate, "wtf...I saw it but thought there's no way that could actually work" type situation and died probably 5 times before finally giving in and looking up where I was stuck at. Then again tonight where it turns out I was doing basically everything correctly I was just forgetting to press one stupid arse button

As stupid as it sounds....the only time in that ENTIRE GAME I had to get help....was finding the 2nd hook shot before the entrance to the Great Deku Tree Island. I never bothered to look in the direction it was in. I felt like a dumbass. Aonuma is really good at making you feel that way

Zelda games have a way of making you feel stupid. The answer always turns out to be so simple.

The first Zelda game was incredible. Even going back now, it was basically an 8-bit open world, how the items came into use. There was nothing like it.

Then the 2nd one can out for NES, and I was like " wtf? A side-scroller?" This was when there was a trend of every game being a shitty Mario knock off. Turns out I should've stuck with it, but that was the end of my Zelda days

I'm one of the ones that liked the 2nd. Zelda 2 was by far the hardest one too.

I'm probably in the minority, but Twilight Princess is probably my favorite Zelda game, marginally above OoT. I get why people don't feel that way, but I'm a big Midna fan. One of the main reasons, along with Prime, that I haven't gotten rid of my Gamecube, much to my wife's dismay.

I got so wary of any side-scrolling game. There were only 3 quality side-scrolling series for the NES: Mario, Mega Man, and Castlevania. But there were literally thousands of cheap, terrible imitations. And renting games all the times, I was fricking sick of it.

Add twilight princess to the list for hd remake. I wish I could play it without motion controls.

All I heard was about the motion controls for TP, but I had already soured on my Wii by the time it got out. I guess it would have looked marginally better on it, but I was totally fine slumming it on the GC.

It didn't look that good on Wii . I think they learned that art style doesn't stand the test of time.

Me either. Loved N64, but getting a DVD player with the PS2 made it a no brainer.

I didn't mind the motion controls for TP. I thought it was cool cause I never really had any problems with it.

In the grand scheme of things, it really was better than OOT IMO, but of course you're gonna get major backlash on that because well.....

Ocarina of Time is quite simply considered the greatest game ever made by a multitude of people and websites.

But yes, Midna is the bomb. frick Zelda and all the others.

I really liked TP up until the end. The gameplay was good. The story and characters were good.

The final boss was terrible. It had the potential to be something unique and original, but they went with the same old Ganondorf.
