Finally im glad your a Man, and unless you are rewiring your whole house, i dont know why a fricking man would need to hire someone, especially a lazy arse white person

It's simple. My hours are more valuable than their hours. If I work I make multiples of what I pay out on an hourly basis.

I'm also very picky. I make my rules clear when I hire someone. Do what you are going to do and when you say you are going to do it. Communicate with me. If you won't be where you say you're going to be when you say you're going to be there you'd damned well better let me know it.

If those three simple things aren't followed I fire the contractor.

Except for HVAC. Their hours >>>>>> mine. Especially in the summer on a Sunday.

You are obviously not hiring me then.

In all seriousness I get what you are saying but you aren't making multiples of what a good GC can make. Especially one that runs multiple jobs and crews. Now if you are scouring Criagslist or something and hiring those types of guys then yea I am sure you are. There are plenty of people willing to work for $12-$15 per hour. I know because I have some.

I haven't dealt with an individual homeowner on smaller projects since I was starting out. I have my license strictly to work on my specs, flips, and some light commercial work I do.

the cracks around crown molding and stuff could be caulk drying out. People think caulk lasts forever but not true. You have to freshen it up every now and then. Epsecially in the humid South.

I'm not as worried about the crown molding, it does that with the change of the seasons I have noticed. I actually have a guy I trust coming to look at the sheet rock.

this, I'm working too much right now to do projects of any length at the house. If he can fix it for me for a decent enough price, I'll do it

I have multiple technicians working for me that I bill out hourly and I said that I make multiples of what I pay out to a contractor to do the work that I contract for.

IDK, the Mexicans who poured my patio and other foundations. Installing my fence and various lights throughout our home did a good job.

In general, they cut corners, especially when framing a home. Let them do other shtt, but don't let Mexicans frame your house.

Anyone here have home security cameras?

I want to place one at the door my packages are delivered to and our backyard. The "package door" will only be on during service hours, a little before and a little after, so 6:00AM to 9:00PM. The backyard one will just come on when we aren't home, like on vacation. I honestly might not install the backyard camera, but just want one to want my deliveries when away.

I'm going wireless, but don't know what camera/hardware brands are decent and what software I should buy to manage this. The plan is to dedicated 2x2TB REDs in RAID 1, and have them cannibalize their selves every 7days.

The buy in is super cheap, and well worth to make sure our packages are safe. In todays world, we all buy our most expensive items online. Want to be worry free that my 5930K and GTX 880 are safe and sound when delivered.

AMD is personally speaking to e-tailers about price gouging on their high end cards due to the demand from coin mining.

They will be sold out right away, so what is the point?

Blue, can't get that MPower to boot. Gives me a memory error, but noticed it has a couple of slightly bent pins. The error good be from that and the chips IMC.

I know something has to give, but I like things the way they are now. The high end cards are priced out of market, keeping the network hash-rate of the various scrypt coins a little more under control in the absence of ASICs. But there are gamers out there who have only a vague familiarity with mining and no interest, or perhaps no clue why the card prices are outrageous. And the number 1 selling point for the R9 series are/were their serious edge over Nvidia in performance/dollar, especially the Hawaii cards. AMD knows it makes zero sense to buy a 290 for nearly $600, or a 280x for $400+.

But... what are they gonna do? "Lower your prices or else we stop supplying?" Or rather, they tell their AIBs to stop doing business with Newegg? Not likely.

ASICs, or the total collapse of all scrypt currencies are basically the only things that can solve this problem.

EDIT: Speaking of scumbag newegg... I noticed they are offering an Amazon Prime-esque service for $50 a year. LINK . Free 3-day and "Discount" 2-day and overnight shipping. Free return shipping, no restocking fee. "Dedicated customer service." Oh, and "We offer deals just for our Premier members."

In other words, Newegg is about to get a lot shittier for their normal customers.

Yep, if they wouldn't have raised prices above suggested MSRP, mining would be done a long time ago.

Hay guyz

I'm due for an upgrade next month. I've had my 4s for almost 2 years, and I'm going to wash my hands of apple.

So, simple questions: Is the Nexus 5 the best new phone? If not, what is?
