Interesting article on new technologies for pc gaming
I think it's a bit of an overreaction but it is something to think about

Decent read. I've thought about that for a bit now but I still don't know what kind of impact it'll have.

Just have to let it play out. I see more positive than negative but maybe I'm just a pc fanboy

Staying on the critter topic a little longer. Most of you probably seen this on reddit, will post anyway.

It took me a few minutes to realize they were speaking English.

Decided to mount my HDD cage in the top where the 5.25 drive bays were.
What it looked like before...
Ran into a problem where I could only drill three holes because the 4th one was in the gap where a larger fan or rad would line up. I used stand off screws and nuts that came with some random fan screws.
Its really sturdy considering it only has the three screws in it instead of 4.
What took me the longest was re-running the front panel wiring because I installed the cage before I moved it out of the way. I think it worked out pretty good.

You are really getting into this case modding? Looks great but ever thought about a smaller rack to mount on top?
Finished with the main rig's acrylic. I went for shortest route instead of great angles and straight lines. I might redo it for Maxwell but leaving as is for Titans.

I've been getting a lot of overtime lately so I should have some extra money next month, I may get a r9 280x. It depends on the money but it's an option.

Oh nice, that is exciting. Will you put it under water?

Nah I'm not there yet. This all may not happen too just like me crossfiring

Finished loop and started filling. I ran out of Mayhem's Pastel White, so will finish filling next weekend. Also no cable management or PSU installed, I do this after filling a loop.
Here is the current state with no cover panels on the CaseLabs SM8.

AMD is about to frick up. Yes, PC and consoles dont mix but the gamers' check books do.
If they wait longer, most gamer's will have money tied up in next gen consoles and christmas. People won't be ready for new cards until January... right when Maxwell is expected. lol
Just a thought...

I just want to see benchmarks. I know they will be out of my price range.

My 900D build is complete.
I so should have waited for that to come out before I bought mine. I was planning on getting the 900D but I got a display model Switch 810 from Fry's for $90. It had some sticker residue I had to clean off but other than that it was in perfect shape and had all the parts...and they forgot to take out an Intel 128GB SSD they had in it

What case is that? Looks very similar to my Switch but mine has a recessed area for the top fans.

Mounting brackets are on the backside for SSDs.
My home server has a Blu-Ray player so no need to have one in any PC. If I need to access media on a disc, just use the home server.
