Loved that monitor. Supposedly OCs to 120hz too.
I threw mine to 75hz on my first try without any problems, but I didn't feel like trying any more

I can see Coyote being a good Captain.

My IPS is a QNIX. Beautiful, perfect pixels, sturdy stand. It's the 2700, not 2710. The description in that link is conflicting. First it says it is a Samsung PLS panel, then later it says it is a LG S-IPS. I'd find out for sure what it is.
However, I do know that the 2710 actually does not overclock. It's one of those frame skippers. It pretends to OC to 120 but it doesn't really. Google that QNIX model and frame skipping and you'll see what I mean. Not enough time to explain it now (still on vacation).
Edit: actually, I may be wrong. That QNIX appears to be a true overclocker! I swear I was recently looking at getting another 1440p and I thought it was the QNIX that didn't do a true 120hz. Maybe it was a crossover or something.

I am very interested to see this fora lot of reasons One thing is integrated graphics. They have made great strides in that department and it may be a large help when they have ddr4 with it.

Alright guys it's idea time. I have a birthday coming up and my mother said she is going to give me $200 to do what I please with. Obviously this will be used for something nerd related. Here are my options:
1. Get an ssd for my laptop. (would be cool but not that big of a deal)
2. get a 2nd 7870 and crossfire for the eventual 1440p push
3. Try and sell my monitor and use that money to get 1440p now.
4. Sell my gpu and use the money for a 770 or 7970 for the eventual 1440p.
5. save the money and see what AMD releases in october.
I am leaning towards 2 or 4.

If you're trying to go 1440p, I would say sell your 7870 and go with 7970 so you'll have more vram and better bandwith.

I'm still having graphics card issues. Upgraded to the drivers that were released on Monday today and problems still. I've disabled SLI for now to see if that is the culprit and if my problems persist I will swap the primary and secondary card positions. I'm getting tired of this shite and it's time to get down to the root of the problem. These things cost way too much money to have to deal with these issues.
