You need to tell the guy he needs to step up his game to the new $10,000.00 AMD GPU that comes with 1TB of on-board low-latency storage on the GPU. It can render 8k video in real-time at 90 FPS. Today's top of the line consumer GPU's can only render it at between 9-15 FPS

AMD Radeon Pro SSG

So is there any downside to settling an aggressive or 100% fan profile other than noise when overclocking? Also what are some of the better benchmarks for OC'ing?

You'll wear out the fan faster. Maybe not over the length of time you'll actually have the card, though. Most GPU coolers use sleeve bearing fans, unless that's changed in recent years. Lifespan is more unpredictable in those.

Why are mATX/ITX z77 motherboards so damn expensive these days? I just got a 3570k, but the cheapest z77 mATX case I can find is $150

Try Craigslist.

Seriously, I've seen a couple of looking like decent condition older z77 and z87 boards for under $100.

U need one?

Have several mATX and ATX. Which you need? TheY are all ASUS Deluxe something.

Are you still in BR?

Edt: I would have given you almost anything but a GPU and CPU.

Also not z77 or z87 but H-77 and H-87.

LOOOONG way before we can benchmark it as we still are working on the case and are constantly interrupted by other work but believe me there will be benchmarks for all to enjoy when we get there.

OK, it has occurred to me that I can either hate you or live through you vicariously. But I am not sure which one yet.

Blue

I believe I only have a Z77 MPower, which I sold to you then bought back during the mining craze.

Might have a mATX 1155 socket in there, I'm positive I do but not sure what choose. Just moved into an apartment here in Texas and will be here for several months. I'm serious when I say you are free to go pick parts out my house back in Thibodaux. Not joking, just let me know and the ole lady will let you in. She would love to get that shtt out of there.
