Qnix for the same price

I love my 27" Qnix except for the cheap bezel and base and the fact that it does not tilt in ANY direction.

OC'd it to 90, couldn't get to 120 though, but I think it's a lottery deal on that one and I lost.

Sweet, may upgrade my monitor soon. I'm still stoked about my first build but I'm already getting the itch to build another one

would I be able to max out settings at 1440 with 290 crossfire?

Not any options out there really.

We have no IPS/4K/GSync monitors yet right? They are all TN panels I thought.

Is that monitor a piece, LSU?

Looks good on paper to me. Appears to have a much better bezel and stand than my IPS QNIX (no idea if the stand is better or worse on the newer PLS QNIX monitors). It's a matte screen, which can be good or bad depending on your preference and room lighting. If you're looking for an interim 1440P until a desirable and affordable 4K option is available, I'd probably just go with something at a good price without a whole lot of scrutiny (i.e., if Coyote's letting his monitors go for less, go with that).

Looks like some Fury X reviews are out and it is not quite the nVidia killer most thought it would be.

Yea I read the 980Ti is crushing it by as much as a 20% performance margin in a lot of games.

It's not supposed to be a killer, it's about dead even with a 980ti, better at 4K, even at 1440.

Your first link is using an overclocked 980ti vs a stock Fury X, which he edited the review to say that after he forgot, for the gap in benches.

quote:

Update: I forgot to point out that our comparisons to the 980 Ti below are using the factory over clocked EVGA 980 Ti, which had a base clock of 1102 Mhz and boost clock of 1190 MHz. That accounts for part of the discrepancy between the cards, as well as recent driver updates on Nvidia's part that improved performance.

We'll see in another few weeks/month what the drivers for AMD do in terms of also increasing a bit more performance.

As for the Overclock3D review you posted:

quote:

Against the GTX980Ti it's, if anything, even more impressive. Both at stock the results are seriously close, yet the R9 Fury X costs less. There is almost nothing not to like.

We're delighted to award the R9 Fury X our OC3D Gold and Innovation Award. It's good to have you back, AMD.

Mine didn't ship today dammit, maybe I should have paid that $2.99 for rush processing but frick NewEgg and their terrible shipping options/pricing.

you all are like my gun friends, "here you don't need this but it's new! Buying guns is like building computers, you always want something new.

Looks like some people have gotten them to honor that price at least, but damn would I raise hell if they didn't honor it. I know NewEgg is sketchy as can be about price glitches too, ran into that first hand not long ago and they wouldn't honor it.

I hate newegg with a blind passion but without a microcenter nearby sometimes you gotta deal with them.

The fckking thing is OC'd, fckk stock benchmarks. They are silly at times.
