That biostar mobo looks like crap you will regret going conservative on later.

i've been followng this thread and it is getting pretty confusing.
GT9, apu is a CPU with integrated graphics. while the a10 5800k you initially picked is nice, the integrated graphics aren't going to push ultra or high settings in 1080p. I just built my brother a HTPC with that exact chip and it is great for that purpose and some moderate gaming I wouldn't recommend it for a "gaming" PC. It will work for the build I did for my brother because A) it's a HTPC B) it has a lower power draw than any cpu/gpu combo C) many of the mobo for that socket are not full atx which was important for keeping the HTPC relatively small.

What coyote and blue are saying is that you could put together a more flexible PC that will be relavant for longer if you bought a CPU and discreet GPU. What I am gathering from the parts you are listing is that you don't want to spend more than 230 on a CPU and mobo together. Completely understandable for a budget build but it is not a good idea to buy a 200 dollar processor and put it in a 50 dollar motherboard that could fry every component in your system.
I would advise you to take your time and look on newegg for some combo deals. Commonly, they offer combo deals on comparable and compatible parts which can save you a few bucks. If you hadn't already purchased most of your parts I would've directed you to do some homework on their build your own combos which can save you a lot. you've already bought a midtower case so why not just get a regular ATX motherboard? I bought this Asrock motherboard on coyote and blue's recommendations and it has been very good. In fact I used an asrock in my brother's HTPC and it has been great so far too. In summation, buy a decent atx mobo and a good enough processor now, use whatever old gpu you already have, save up for when a better gpu goes on sale or buy it second hand. It doesn't make sense to buy an APU when neither of the gpus you own can be used in combination with it. The integrated graphics that the apu can provide you aren't going to take you very far for a dedicated gaming PC and will probably end up frustrating you in the end.

Wouldn't go with that ram, though. It's 1.65v and ivy bridge recommends 1.5v

Everything else is perfect.

Way out of his budget

EDIT: Great price on a pretty good case HERE. I would choose this over the Rosewill.

Not at all.

This thread was a headache. IDK why he wanted to go with an APU inside a full tower case anyway. His GPU couldn't even do hybrid graphics with that APU.

It's cool man. He didn't know. Apus sound really good to the novice builder because they are inexpensive and don't require u to purchase an discreet gpu. They have their uses but their use in a dedicated gaming pc is limited and newer users need someone to show them the ropes. Just a few months ago I didn't know the first thing about building a pc.

Yes they do, I have one in the HTPC. I really like them but what I'm saying is he kept going back to the APU after I told him his GPU was not captiable with any APU. (To my knowledge it has to be 7600 or 6600 for the A10)

Frankly I am not familiar with either of the gpus that he said he already had. The APu wouldn't have been a terrible choice if the integrated graphics were better than either of the gpus he owns. Still choosing the CPU was a better choice.
Coyote, u still have that gpu that u wanted to get rid of in the benchmarking thread?
