So they've aligned themselves with the reigning "worst company" 
Not to mention I'd like to see how much the monthly bill would be to use this service
IMO, if they are limited strictly to EA titles, this will pose absolutely zero threat to MS or Sony

This is the key issue for me:

I actually got a lady one time who was polite, quick, and resovled my issue without hesitation. I was so stunned I actually went out of my way to shower praise on her and explain how bad her company sucks and that I didn't believe she actually worked there

Eh, I have used an X1 box before and it is an exercise in frustration. Partial or missed recordings, no way to extend a recording (you must record next show), freezes, etc. There is also no 30 second skip ahead. There is a 5 minute skip forward, 5 minute skip backward and a 15 second skip backward. You can program the 5 min skip ahead to be a 30 sec skip, but then the 5 min back button becomes a 15 sec back button, leaving you with 2 buttons with the same feature.
