I haven't had any issues outside of some initial trouble downloading things during the PSN login troubles.

Everything has been working very well since.

I haven't either. Everything has been working fine outside of not being able to get on PSN for about an hour last night. Then it worked. I'm signed into PSN right now, in fact.

I think the PS4's target demographic combined with the proliferation of social broadcasting tools is skewing people's view point, causing them to conclude "everything is broken."

There very well could be some sort of serious hardware issue with a higher incident rate than should be acceptable, but it's far too early to conclude that imo.

Mine is fine. Then again I didn't get it off Amazon. Some problems with PSN which were expected, but that's about it.

So if I'm looking to play cds (yeah I know) and an overall media machine, the PS4 is not a good fit? I'm probably going to end up with both by the end of the year, but I was just curious about initial impressions. Thanks so far.

PS4 plays CDs. Its going to have everything that xbone has except a dvr-less television feature so you can watch live TV on your console.

Not going to lie, it is a cool feature but that is about then only difference.

Also Kinect, but IMO that is an afterthought.

Voice commands are a joke comparatively(from what I've read, not experienced).
But yeah, Sony is realizing gaming only isn't going to keep them ahead and are starting to steal XB features.

If they could stop allowing their biggest exclusives to become multi-platform, as well as produce good exclusives, they'd do fine.

Oh, you know, the ability to play a CD. Little things like that.

Huh?

I will assume you are trolling because the PS2 does that.

You're getting better at this. But, in all honesty, it's only a half troll as its not something they had planned on offering.

Haha ok. I don't even know how to respond to this. What gaming system since PS2 ( maybe even the PS1) hasn't played CDs?

Stick with the "I'm trolling" dwfense.
