Boucherie

Was average when I went, but I think I could have a better experience ordering better things.

Toups Meatery

Fantastic both times I've been, namely the 2nd time when we got bone marrow, escargot, and chicken liver all in one dish.

I think their meatery board kicks arse.

For what it is, though, I can understand if it didn't quite reach the top 50 25 or whatever.

Admittedly, I prefer that style of restaurant though. Going to Martinique Sunday and while I'm looking forward to it for the atmosphere and good food, I'm definitely more of a small plates type of girl. A more "traditional" restaurant with a very small amount of soup/salad/apps and then mostly large entrees isn't as exciting to me.

Domenica at 38 is ridiculous.

Some idiot in the comments called Commanders a tourist trap...

Don't get the hate for Boucherie, I think it's fantastic.

Same here; Boucherie is great for the price and is one of my favorites.

Domenica should be rated higher for sure.

I really like Boucherie.

I agree with the criticism of the list though.

Insane, along with Lilette.

I do agree with number one.

we visit New Orleans every summer and go to Mr. B's...never had a bad meal...always get gumbo and BBQ shrimp. Always delicious.

Is there hate for Boucherie? I mean, other than a couple people saying it didn't wow them.. I've never seen any hate for it.

When I had it, it was good. Was it a top meal I've had in New Orleans? Nah. But it was very good.. and I think it could rank even higher if I ordered different things.

That is the key. I absolutely love it. I'm solo this weekend, but when y'all come next to town we should go there for sure.

Zagat has jumped the shark. They are way out of touch in every city, from what I've seen.

I'm not coming to New Orleans until Sunday. And won't be with Jones, unfortunately.

He has to go back to Texas :'(

But I plan to hit a few spots. Maybe the festival Sunday.. or the Southern Food and Bev Museum. Maybe Johnny Sanchez.

Reservations at Martinique for dinner.

I'll be in the city Monday, but I'm playing it by ear.

If the weather is good request a patio seat. It is a great atmosphere. Hit me or her up when y'all come together next.

"Hate" was an exaggeration, but I definitely wouldn't call it average. I was commenting on the fact that two different people disagreed with it's top 10 ranking, so much so to make note of it.

Agreed that Lilette is the biggest omission?

Wait it's not even in the "top" 50?

Wait until Rohan finds out.
