Discovered Yeungling about a decade ago living in DC. This really isn't a beer to get excited about.

x1000

Everyone I know who loves Yeungling grew up and is from the northeast. They said it reminds them of high school and college.

As far as the taste, its average at best.

Wasn't surprised to see them pair up with Crescent Crown. They are killing it on the craft beers imo. They've been stealing the tap share for some time.

How come International doesn't do well in NOLA? Seems like crescent and republic are the standard.

If I'm sitting poolside with only a lager as my choice, I'll crush a twelver of Miller lite.

Is this the only scenario where one can drink lagers? Thanks

Their barrel house in Portland is pretty badass

Without a doubt. And while the prices are Bruery-like, they make more beers I'd pay that for than The Bruery does. Back to OP, there are folks on BR that mule back Yuengling by the case from their beach trips, so it might sell better than some think, especially at the usual price point. These new breweries continuing to pick CC because they are good in NO sure f's over BR though.

Didn't know about it until they bought the Stroh's / Schlitz brewery here in the late '90s. They started distributing the regular and light then a few years later the Black and Tan. Black and Tan is a favorite. Regular Yeungling is a solid alternative but i don't think it will convert anyone from their current beers of choice.

So because CC will be the distro in NOLA means BR won't get Yuengling?

Only people who got super excited for Fat Tire will be excited for Yeungling. It's going to take up shelf space where actually good beer could be sitting.
