I've had an Egg for several years. It's been great and I would highly suggest one.

I own both a Primo XL and Kamado Joe. Both are outstanding. If I had to buy just one though, it would def. be the Primo. I'm able to cook direct and indirect at the same time. Purchased the KJ first had it for a couple of years then got the XL. I use the xl almost exclusively at this point.

Ive got a big green egg, I like it, but its only for large cook jobs, takes a while to set up and get rolling.

also takes awhile to get use to regulating the temp

Lg BGE. Fantastic grillin'/smokin' machine.

I find it user-friendly and forgiving. Only negative is the cooking area - the oval shapes will allow you to smoke a larger (major dimension) meat.
