I own both a Primo XL and Kamado Joe. Both are outstanding. If I had to buy just one though, it would def. be the Primo. I'm able to cook direct and indirect at the same time. Purchased the KJ first had it for a couple of years then got the XL. I use the xl almost exclusively at this point.

If you have the money to make a lifetime grilling and smoking investment. Kamado Joe would be my call. Have mine for over 2 years now. Egg, Primo, Gill Dome are nice as well. KJ from the research I did was just a much better bang for the buck. It was 20% less expensive than the Egg for the same set up. KJ has a new larger cooker now which looks really nice.

Pretty sure all the ceramic items carry a lifetime warranty. Try contacting the company you purchased from or Kamado Joe themselves. From what I have seen on their facebook page they respond pretty quickly to product issues.

I think I saw them at Tramonte's in Baton Rouge. It's a specialty meat and seafood place that also sells ceramic grills

I have a Kamado Joe in Black. Had it for 2 years about 175 cooks under my belt, outstanding results. I have seen them also made in LSU colors.
