Got some from Bergeron's last week and wasn't very impressed.

They make a more traditional head cheese which isn't finely ground like the Cajun version we prefer. It's very good.

Bailey's (LaPlace)

I was introduced to Turkey Cheese from Bourgeois' in Houma last week. It was good.

Jerry Lee's is arguably the best anywhere, and easily the best in Baton Rouge.

As for BR, I love City Pork's HHC. Like someone else said though it's definitely very course-ground.

But if you really want the best you gotta go to Krotz Springs and get some at Kartchner's Grocery.

I like Ronnies on Florida.

Not hard to make though.

Had it once. Not terrible, but not a fan.

I buy mine from a guy who lives on Westside golf course. Astoundingly good.

City Pork's HHC is my favorite.

Can also vouch for Kartchners. It's a bit out of the way unless you're already headed down 190, but their specialty meats and cracklin are fantastic.

Thinking about going to Sherburne WMA on Friday. I'll probably stop by if I do.
