Have a contractor in town who has a new found obsession with the stuff. Who has the best in BR?

(And, as a bonus question, who has the best in NO?)

I'll probably make some for him...I've enjoyed it at a few restaurants, but it's not like it's hard to make it at home and get a great result.

for just a regular cheap place sammy's apparently has really good bread pudding. every time we go for crawfish my mom always gets the bread pudding to go.

last time i was at ruths, their bread pudding was great and i hate desserts

I would like to thank you on behalf of my husband for this thread. Bread Pudding is his favorite. Pioneer woman dot com has an easy recipe that can be done quickly.

An under the radar pick, the bread pudding at Monjuni's is great. Not a big fan of their menu as a whole....but that bread pudding is legit

I haven't tried a ton of bread pudding, but I had some at Parker House in Ridgeland the other day and it was unbelievable. It one the bread pudding showdown in Jackson if that counts for anything . Seriously though, it was great...

I agree!
And The Country Club of Louisiana makes some AMAZING bread pudding. Don't know how you'd get some of that though

My favorite in N.O. is at Lil' Dizzys on Esplanade.

I also like the white chocolate version at Cafe des Amis in Breaux Bridge.

Monjunis is great, Couyons serves the same recipe last time I was there. No raisins or nuts. Brown sugar, cinnamon, and Jack Daniels sauce.

Bread pudding is so much cloyingly sweet that I have never had any love for it, on the flip side is the liver and onions thingy.
