I had my first one today with some thin sliced sweet onion. I think I could have eaten 3 of them, it was so good.

Also reminded me of the grilled caprese sandwiches I like from this thread.

I have almost every day for lunch. White bread, mayo, thick slices of garden fresh tomatoes, salt, pepper, and a splash of red wine vinegar. One of my favorite things about coming in from a hot summer day of work.

That caprese sandwich looks good, I'll have to try that. I make a similar sandwich with the fresh mozzarella and basil but use roasted eggplant instead of the tomatoes.

A fresh picked ear of corn on the side is a fine addition. I've been living on caprese salad with fresh corn. On to sandwiches... Best things about summer.

Had one today, and will be having one tomorrow. As long as my plants keep producing, I'll keep enjoying them.

Why not? I usually eat 2 tomato sandwiches when using fresh, just because they're so good.

I had my first ever creole tomato sandwich Tuesday night.

Went back in the kitchen hungry, saw one sitting there next to a loaf of 7 grain, and decided to try it.
