Thanks for looking out for me brother. I'm all good right now on EC12. Bunker is full. That 1.75 looks great on the shelf with the big red 12 though.

I've spread out over last two months and have found some very nice honey holes. Goody Goody over by me really is impressive with their selection. I also found a small shop that stocks some high end bottles that I'm forming a nice relationship. I'm hoping to score some fall releases. I'd like to get some ETL, RHF, OFBB, a BTAC and a ECBP.

No problem

That's the way to do it. I've done the same with a few smaller shops and am hoping they stick with msrp or close to it

And I've gotten some decent stuff at my goody goody as well but with their BTAC and PVW releases being a lottery I'm not expecting much. I can point you towards some ETL and RHF in Houston right now (or as of 2 weeks ago) but it was about $65 for the ETL and $80 for the RHF. And if you really, really want some ECBP I saw plenty when I was in South Padre

I haven't had any of the NAS yet so I can't comment on that. But I believe the rumor is they're going to re-release the 12, but at a higher price than the NAS

I bought a bottle of NAS to try the other day. It's not quite as good as the 12. A little thinner mouthfeel with a little less oak. But I didn't think it was that big a difference. I have a couple 12s stashed but I probably won't hunt anymore. Henry McKenna 10 is a better expression of heaven hill anyway imo. Wait what I meant was......Henry McKenna 10 is hot garbage and no one should buy it.

Some newbies to the bar. SAOS 10 is a repeat (heading straight to the bullpen). Other 5 are firsts. The RRSB and WRDOSB are Goody Goody store picks. Time to open one up.

FPD Lordy this is good. Wouldn't know it's 110 proof. Oak, spice, sweet and smooth. I'm an oak man fo sho. (Very similar to EC12 the more I dive in this pour)

That seems high for both ETL and RHF....don't it? Thought they were both closer to $50?

Anyone have some recommendations for someone wanting to start out building up a nice collections of bourbons? I've always drank whiskey/bourbon, starting with the cheap shite in college, ET mmmmmm.

I've moved up as I've gotten older and had more money. For the past few years i've bought mid-tier stuff but not SB bottles, except here or there. I've enjoyed MM, ER, etc. Stuff in the 25-35 dollar range.

Looking to grab a few bottles of stuff in the sub 100 dollar range. Preferably a range of options to see what i like.

Would recommend starting with Booker's, blantons, EHT single barrel, Willett pot still, knob creek single barrel, old scout 7.

Drinking some old charter 10 yr tonight. Life would be so easy these days if they still had bottles like that sitting on the shelf at anytime
