I'll be staying in New Orleans this weekend at the Marriot on Canal. I'm looking for a good resturant to go to in the quarter (nothing over the top pricey)...So no Galatoires, etc...I have eaten at Red Fish Grill/Johnny's Po Boys/Acme Oyster House...any other resturants I should try? I'm looking for a place that is <$25.00 a plate. Gracias.

Central Grocery. If you love olives than it will change your life.

For heaven's sake, do Mr. B's...if you go for lunch, you can get the BBQ shrimp and a bowl of gumbo ya-ya (best damn gumbo & bbq shrimp there is) for like $18...

Throw a rock. Whatever it hits will probably be good. At least for a good bowl of red beans and rice for a cool/cold weekend.
