I'll be coming to town in the next few days to take a look at LSU and I was wondering where I can get a good shrimp po'boy. Feel free to name good spots from Slidell on over as I'll be driving in on I10 from the east.
You are a coach?
Parrains, Chimes and I had a good one at Sammys not long ago.

I've never tried Jasmine's or Montalbano's. I'm just never on that side of town.
Sammy's is good but they're always PACKED. I haven't been back to Dempsey's since they closed the one by towncenter.

If you're coming in on I-10 from the East, get off at Read Blvd. in New Orleans East, take a right, go all the way to the lake/Hayne Blvd. Take a right again at the levee on Hayne Blvd. and go about 4 blocks to Castnet Seafood.
I promise there is not a shrimp po-boy in the entire city of Baton Rouge that can touch theirs. Hell, very few places in Baton Rouge even use proper po-boy bread.

Peck's in Slidell has the best fried seafood poboys in the area. Just a couple minutes off the interstate on Gause in Slidell.

Jasmines on the bayou.
Miss that place. Great owners and awesome food. My only complaint is that the fries are a let down.
