I'm vacationing with 9 other adults in Florida soon and looking for recommendations for my night to cook. I've done chicken schwarma, grilled salmon, and crab stuffed portobellos the past few years. What do y'all crave after a long day of beach boozing?

I like dishes w/lots of water/crunch/salady things. Like a big Greek salad w/grilled shrimp, or a chopped salad w/blue cheese, or one of those southwestern-ish chilled corn/bean/avocado things. A Thai style papaya salad, or vietnamese goi ga would also hit the spot.

Big fan of surf and turf at beach.
Petite filets over asparagus with a few sautéed shrimp always goes well

Royal Reds and Oysters can't get more simple than that.

Ham sandwich with doritos. Mayo and Mustard mixed together.

No crust if you want to impress this board

I like to roast a whole fresh red snapper on the grill. And I like to have big slices of cantaloupe wrapped with prosciutto with it.

I'm loving all these replies.

We have a lot to work with. So far the weeks menu looks like this..

Day 1: local delivery pizza
Day 2: tamales (gringo pies)
Day 3: cheeseburgers in paradise
Day 4: me
Day 5: George's Alys Beach
Day 6: steak

Momofuku

Always a hit, that Asian bean paste can be somewhat hard to find, but damn this stuff is good. The pork can cook in the oven while you're at the beach, easy finger food.

Trout meunière topped with crabmeat. Shrimp or scallops can substitute for crab.

Redfish Creole. Or any White meat flakey fish on the half shell.
