I baked some thick cut pork chops last night to oblivion. They were basically inedible. I didn't have my electric meat thermometer and with a toddler running around, I can't check them every 5 minutes.
Pissed me off because they were some beautiful pork chops. I hate that I ruined them.

I grilled a frozen tonti's pizza once on a weber kettle. Was in hurricane mode about 36 hrs deep. Hurricane Ike sure was a great 4 day party.

I walked in my house and saw what my MIL had prepped for dinner...took a picture and left. I can imagine this to be the worst tasting dish, had I tried it, ever.
Mine was my first and last attempt at quinoa. Good grief that was nasty.

Monkfish
Thought I could just sautee it like any other fish filet. It is very finnicky. Overcooked it and wow it came out horrible. It was like gnawing on rubber with a subtle off flavor. We threw it away.

I like to add fresh spinach to my Italian meat sauce, forgot to pick some up so I ran to the little country store down the road, of course there was no fresh spinach so I saw a can of spinach & thought "what the hell, I'll give it a try". It literally turned my meat sauce green & it tasted like grass. If you've ever seen what a water trough looks like after cows who've been eating green clover looks like, then you know what my meat sauce with canned spinach looked like. Dogs ate like kings for the next couple of days.

I've burned fried fish and damn near served raw fried chicken. I've also had one or two jambalayas give me fits by not cooking evenly.

First year livig on my own. Decided to make some sort of fish chowder for my roommates and gf. It was so bad, but hey we're nice and pretended to like it. They didn't fool me though, I knew how bad t was

Probably not the worst thing, but the most disappointing was a seafood gumbo I spent a ton of time, money and effort to put together for some non-southerners. I either had a few questionable shrimp or simply cooked the stock down way too much, but it tasted like a shrimp dock. They were polite and said it was delicious, but I thought it was terrible. Just a huge let down. I think I'll make one Saturday for redemption.

I've fricked up the rice on a few dishes. Other than that, I don't think I've ever cooked something that I wasn't able to eat.

I also remember doing a turtle soup in a wild game cookoff in St Joe years and years ago. We'd gotten polluted the nightbefore with no sleep at all. I fell off a plane at the airport and lost the recipe I'd kept in my pocket....it's a complicated story.
Went from dim memory in cooking the dish the next day. It tasted like soapy water. I'll nver forget the putid look of disgust on the face of the first judge to taste it.

I'm good. I'm so damn good.
I didn't know I needed to clarify "guide" for you, but I did since you didn't comprehend it.

I'm clearly more enlightened than you, Otis. I think the moonshine has fried your ever loving gray matter. Have a loverly weekend.

Swedish Meat(less)ball Stir fry on egg noodles. The dish turned out grey in color and tasted like nothing. Only thing I have ever made where I avoided the leftovers.

Jambalaya... I misjudged liquid one time. Way too soupy. Gave it to the dogs. They said it was excellent.

Tried to make an Indian cauliflower with rice dish. Came out tasting like potpourri
I bet the recipe called for cardamom. It can be that way.
