Went to the hwy 44 location Friday night. The burger was pretty good. Service was really fast. I'm pretty sure Raul himself was there so, that probably helped.

I noticed they like to put shrimp on everything. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Also noticed a few interesting menu choices.

Chicken, steak and shrimp po-boy? I'm going to go back just to try this.

I was in there one time and Raul rushed in. It was a pretty full house during a lunch rush and Five Guys had recently opened across the street (LSU North Gate location). He gets about halfway to the grill, turns around and yells, "Geaux Tigers, frick Five Guys!"

We went almost every Monday when I was at LSU for that $5 burger/fries/drink deal. Juicy juicy

went to the one on campus years ago and it was great. Pretty sure Raul ran it. Was amazed at how he took the order, served your food, and then you paid last.

Freshman year lived on E. State. Lets just say Raul's shrimp burger/fries deal is the reason I put on 15 lbs.

I've had the philly cheese steak + shrimp and it was pretty good. I was also a drunk college kid so that might have had something to do with it.

I went one night in college and they had just ran out of buns. Maybe a month after it opened. Well he offers to make me a special burge Poboy for free if I tell all my friends. It was amazing. The bread was open face and wrapped around the burger meat like a wrap would. It was incredible and I've never had it since.

It's a solid burger and usually an entertaining experience. Raul always seems to be working at the location I try. Maybe he is a triplet.

He use to have a location on Scenic near Southern. I was going to law school and would hit it up from time to time. closed down some time ago. I think he opened a location at a shell in Baker on 19. Don't go that way often.

The one on Scenic i had to leave my clothes outside my house or it smelled like that old greasy place. Like Fleur De Lis.

He closed the one in the Shell Station a few months ago. I stopped from time to time when heading to my farm.

Now I call ahead to Paw Paw's in Slaughter on Hwy 19 to get the best cheeseburger around that area. But they take their time so calling in is a must.

Just got finished with a Mega Cheese Burger with bacon/jalapenos....

From the original Airline hwy location.. Best kept burger secret I know of.

PSA: Talked to him today, and he told me he closed the Scenic location down. Said things were getting to sketchy over there, but did just open a location on Flannery at Old Hammond.

I actually thought it smelled like warm 10 day old piss had been splashed on that awesome arse mural on the wall.

I don't have much reason to go north of Zachary anymore. I may have to try that.

I think they took a pretty hard hit from the flood back in August.Decided to close down a couple of their locations. Love the burgers though. I've always wanted to try the philly cheese, but like the burger so much I never have.
