I plan on being outside all day tomorrow in the great weather, just cooking and watching football. I am looking for a recipe or 2 that I can use for my smoker, grill, or on my outside burner. I want to do something that will be great for the games, but I could also eat as leftovers during the week. Whatcha got?

Trying to decide the same thing. I think smoking a pig butt all day is a given, as is the blue cheese coleslaw and the Hawaiian rolls. But I'm gonna do a big pot of something too. Chili, gumbo, shrimp and corn bisque or a bigass catfish coutbouillion. I have till 4pm to decide.

Thought about chili or gumbo, but those are all good ideas. Only thing I don't want to do is jambalaya cause thats what I did last time

Same here. Got a pirogue to prime & paint sat after soccer & the ALS Walk at Highland Park....

Wife hates on pulled pork. Those St Lous ribs somebody posted this week sounded good. Ive got some ham pieces i need to smoke. Got one more big jar of canned maters in the pantry.

Leanin towards smokin Dinosaur Ribs, Ham, and makin a Mater Soup.

I'm doing gator sauce piquant as I have an abundance of gator right now

Here's a great rub IMO that I use for lots of different smokes....it's low sodium....you can add salt to taste if you wish

8 tbsp paprika
3 tbsp black pepper
3 tbsp garlic powder
3 tbsp light brown sugar
2 tbsp onion powder
2 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp allspice
2 tbsp kosher salt
1.5 tbsp cayenne
1.5 tbsp cumin
1.5 tbsp jalapeno powder
1 tbsp white pepper
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp coriander
1 tbsp ground mustard
1 tsp powdered thyme
1 tsp powdered rosemary
1 tsp powdered marjoram
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Do a couple of "drunken chickens" and some sausage on the grill.
