There was a dumb arse on here one time that claimed there were better restaurants in Louisiana or NOLA than in New York City.

I think it was actually that Baton Rouge specifically had better food than NYC. I wanted to punch my monitor when I read that. I think he said he was glad to be back to Baton Rouge because the food was better.

I've heard people say this IRL too. Some southerners just have it engrained in themselves that anything on the West coast or in NYC are inherently pretentious and liberal and worthless. Or they just have really shitty taste in food.

I think its the 9/10 times I click on the link to this board... somewhere near the top is some request for a NOLA dining spot...
