Lakefront could work too. Good call LE.

The people suggesting anything in Metry off Vets make me laugh. Nothing better than that shitshow traffic for atmosphere

Bacchanal for wine
Courtyard Brewery for beer
Hot Tin for the view (drinks are bad either)

No clue about Metairie.

Why doesn't BR have a spot like the Tchoup Yard. It would be an instant hit IMO

They had a place on Seigen way back when.

Imagine BRs problem is lack of a central place to put something like that.

Yeah now that I'm sitting here thinking about it there isn't a location that sticks out to me. BR is laid out so poorly compared to other cities.

I can see how that concept would die on Siegen. It would need to be near LSU to be sustainable I would think.

And some politician would figure out a way to fight them, fine them, and shut them down too

Property value and NIMBYs are the first two things that come to mind.

I doubt BR let's a place like that open without a proper parking lot, security, permits from hell, neighborhood input....

Who wants to stare at an overpass, listen to traffic, and smell exhaust fumes while trying to chill at a patio bar?

It reminds me of the Ice House in Dallas. Easily the most popular bar for all ages

There is about to be a huge (5,000 sqft) new patio bar in Mid-City on the Lafitte Greenway. I've been following the progress as it moves through city planning. They want to open this summer. LINK - Eater

Pending permitting approvals from the city, renovations would tentatively begin this winter or spring and wrap up in time for a summer debut.

Is this Summer 2017 or 2018? This sentence implies renovations haven't begun as of early February 2017 when the article was posted.
