What are some good casual places to eat in the quarter?

Thinking of Deanie's and maybe K Pauls? Any other, or better, recommendations? Going to be downtown for a few nights with the wife and my son and his girlfriend. Staying within walking distance to the quater so we are looking for a few reasonable places while we are there.

We have never tried K Pauls but have cooked quite a few things from his cookbook hence that one being a possibility.

Thanks!

K-Pauls might be a little expensive for what most people think of with casual. Good place though.

You will be pretty close to Cochon. I say you try that. Here is the website LINK

If you don't mind walking a little ways, Murials the quarter might be perfect for you.

I find Green Goddess to bit hit or miss. The first time I went there, I was blown away. The second time was pretty good and the third time was bordering on bad.

My wife and I like Deanie's.

Good food and sufficient portions.

Rio Mar right around the corner from your Hotel. Not the typical New Orleans seafood, but I highly recommend.
