I think Ambrosia was bought out by Gambino's

ETA: whatever used to be on Essen is Gambino's now.

Ambrosia is on Siegen isn't it? Had a cream cheese and blueberry from there before. Both very good.

They made good King Cakes, and their breakfast deal will be missed.

The breakfast buffet there was money.

I still get their breakfast once in a while, but for the sake of variety, it was nice to get the buffet.

Whole Foods has awesome king cakes.

Wasn't there just a thread on this same topic?

New York Bagel Company used to make some kicking king cakes back in the day. I have not had one since I moved away, so they may be trash now.

This thread was started on the O-T and moved to the food board, so odds are the OP just didn't bother searching on here.

I saw someone buying a King Cake from Whole Foods last night. Everything else they make is good, so I can't imagine it being as bad as an Albertsons or Wal-Mart King Cake. Just the same, I'll stick to a place that exclusively bakes.

I didn't even realized that they made them.

I used to eat at the Jefferson location all the time, but the quality of the sandwiches went down a bit when that location came under new ownership.
