R2R! Would you like it to be food related?

Eating Animals by Jonathan Safranfoer

Why we love dogs, eat pigs and wear cows by Melanie Joy, PhD. This is what I'm currently reading and so far I like it. Would recommend.

Away from food, I just read The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen.

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote
The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson

Read those two back in high school

Interesting choice on the food book I'll check that one out. Tend to mostly buy fiction though. Philip Roth, Michael Chabon, Jonathon Lethem.. authors along those lines / if you know of anything similar

Im reading The Enduring Hemmingway right now. A collection of his published works. Been at it a week now and I read it well and true.

Haven't heard of them. Harlan Coben is one of my favorites. Murder mystery thriller types.

Check out the app goodreads for recommendations for books similar to the ones you have read. I get lost in the app and end up buying a couple books after I browse.

Fajitas and cold beer at La Piñata. Accompanied by massive quantities of chips and salsa, which is the actual reason I go there. Although the Fajitas were tasty, whatever I order is simply justification for the chips and salsa I eat.

I can fill up on chips and salsa if the salsa is good and fresh!

I love that stuff.

For some reason Meridian has maybe 8 Mexican food places. La Piñata is my go to spot out of all of them.

After Taco Bell.

Maybe you understand how a guy can get when he must have some Taco Bell. I get that way sometimes.

My name is MD and #4 is the monkey on my back

Tomato and avocado salad, roasted broccoli and bison "steaks"

Malbec and slice of carrot cake

Tried grilled romaine but I don't think our grill is right for it.

Lolz... I am dating a Mexican girl, so I have had a few authentic meals.

Tounge tacos with rice and beans is some aweome stuff! I dont care too much for, but can eat, Taco Bell. It is no where even close to how good authentic Mexican food is. There should be some hole in the wall Mexican eateries in Merridian. You should try them.

Really wasn't anything special. Tried a little bit of everything the table ordered. The fried seafood lacked seasoning, crab cakes where gooey and lacked crab, fried oysters were extremely small, shrimp and grits was good, salad wedge was good. If I go back it will be for the atmosphere not the food.
