Does anyone here, or their SO, have any weird eating habits?
My wife will only eat one thing at a time, starting with the side items.
Example: Start with the rolls, then the peas, then mashed potatoes then the roast.
Same thing every time, no matter what we're eating.

Always put an odd number into the microwave timer. Never just put exactly one or two minutes.

Growing up we ate salads after the main course

I don't like my food to touch on a plate and yes I often will eat my vegetable then the rice and gravy/meat. And def don't let cold stuff like potato salad mix with warm stuff like baked beans.

Her mother eats the same way. When he dad was down with double pneumonia, her mother had to feed him and she tried to feed him like that!
He about exploded and wanted someone else to feed him after that!

People that do this are seeking attention.

You're practicing seeking attention, I dunno

I always stop the microwave a seond or two early but that has the functional practice that I don't have to hear three beeps.

AND my microwave keeps reminding me that I have stuff in there beeping every 20 seconds or so, it drives me crazy.

I stop it before it beeps too.

That's attention seeking behavior on the microwave's part I won't tolerate.

I usually have to have things in even bites--like one bite of potatoes, one bite of meat, one bite of veggies. So if I don't ration it right and run out of mashed potatoes before I finish my meat, I have to get more potatoes to even it out.

But I have broken this rule if I really don't like one thing on my plate; then I just "even-out" the other stuff.

Old roommate in college never ate the edges of anything, would cut a burger in half and eat out just the center, would break the tips off of fries and chicken fingers, no pizza crust.

Was very bizarre, not sure if he still does it or not

My friend did this. It aggravated the hell out of me. The last thing he would do is drink his whole drink. He would never take one sip in between eating his food.

Zach should be around later to talk about his wife's eating habits for you.

I don't care for different food items with different juices all running together on my plate. Roast and rice and gravy are fine as they go together, but I don't want pea or bean juices running into my gravy or gravy running into my peas or beans, for example. I prefer that one food doesn't touch another in most cases.

I can't stand the protein sitting atop the carb or the veggie. I don't care how lovely it looks, don't do it. I don't really like mashed potatoes so I don't want to lose my steak juice to the potatoes. I sure don't want some veggie juice running into my fried fish and making it mushy.

I like hot food to be hot when I'm eating it. I have a microwave plate warming thing. I heat it up and put my plate on top to keep things somewhat warm during the meal when I'm eating at home without guests. I'm a slow eater, so it's a problem!

I think I sort of eat one thing at a time on occasion. Has more to do with heat of the item than it does with anything else. Whatever I like to be hotter usually gets eaten first or whatever I like the best usually gets eaten first. Last night, I had steak and roasted potatoes. Had the steak first and the potatoes last or most of them, anyway.

THIS THIS THIS THIS.

I don't mind the juice/gravy on some foods, but nothing irritates me more than the fad at "high end" restaurants to plop your meat on top of everything else.

Say you get a sauteed green, mashed potatoes, and a steak. They lay the greens on the plate, then top them with potatoes, and then slap that steak right on top of the potatoes. Gross.
Quick way to ruin my steak.

This too. Again, it's a steak issue for me. After the steak has rested for however long it's supposed to rest, it's cold and unpleasant.

Also crawfish. I want my boiled crawfish piping hot.

Yeah I had a crown roast of lamb at a nice place for my anniverserry last week, they laid the roast on top of the mashed potatoes.

I wasn't a fan of the plating, but the mashed potatoes were unbelievably good so I wasn't that upset.

That's not weird. That's OCD. Or CDO, if the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be.
