Wife has some friends coming in this weekend which happens to be our anniversary. We will pick up the tab for our guest so I'm looking for a spot that won't break the bank.

Aware of all the famous spots. Can anyone reccomend some place maybe a little off the radar or eclectic that isn't crazy expensive and the food is legit??

Thanks

Edit: for Sunday dinner

Nice but I'm pretty sure they have eaten there.

Also they are from Minnesota so good Louisiana cuisine is imperative

Boucherie

Small Plates range from 6-14
Large Plates range from 13-18

All the food is awesome. Book now, its tough to get a table

Jaquimo's is also not a bad value

Shaya on Magazine. It just opened a little over a week ago. Place is amazing. It's Israeli food (similar to Greek), you can share 9 small plates for only $21 bucks. the ambience is perfect for small or large parties.

Consider going to lunch at some of of the higher end places, as they often offer lunch specials. For example, Antoine's has a 3 course lunch for $20.15.

Toups if you want LA food. Although that Shaya suggestion is great for this type of event. I've been twice and can't say anything bad about the place. Next time I'm going back to try the lunch menu. Maybe this weekend.

NM, Toups is closed Sunday. How about Luke.

Really depends on what your idea of "crazy expensive" is.
