Got some canned chunk albacore. Been wanting some tuna salad. What is your recipe? I'm looking for something different. TIA

Mayo(to taste/preference)
Squeeze of lemon
Sweet relish(to taste/preference)
Apple(chopped small but not minced)
Onion(minced)
Hard boiled egg(1 per can)
Salt/pepper

Spend a few minutes breaking up the tuna meat until it is very fine and there are no chunks, then add ingredients

depending on how much tuna you have, you'll have to use your own judgment on these ingredients:

corn
black beans
sliced avocado
shredded lettuce
vinegar (just a little)
chopped tomatoes
salt
pepper
cilantro
green goddess dressing
tuna

Honestly, hard to beat tuna on whole wheat bread with a little mayo. Maybe a few rings of very thinly sliced onion.

When we were kids, mom would extend the tuna with chopped boiled egg, a little celery, diced sweet gerkins and mayo.

Sometimes we will sub chopped dill pickle for the sweet pickles.

Sometimes add capers, mayo and celery to the tuna.

Regardless, I like whole wheat or wheat berry bread best and saltine crackers after that.

I use green onions instead of onions because pickles already provide the crunch/texture.

Used 1/2 the mayo you normally would and add an avocado

Growing up, my sister was the tuna queen. She made 5 or 6 different versions. Some with dill pickles and onion, some with sweet pickles, some with eggs, etc.

I make mine with Chicken of the Sea tuna, dill relish, and miracle whip. Very quick, easy and good. I always let it chill before eating. I always make a large batch also. Eat some in sandwiches with Lays chips and Pepsi and some with saltine crackers and milk.

So brand names for everything but the mustard. What brand mustard?

Different, but very good:

Tuna Noodle Salad

1 box medium shell noodles
4 cans of tuna
1 can premium tuna
1 jar of diced/sliced pimento (4 oz.)
1 large bunch green onions (chop the whole thing)
1 medium green pepper chopped (I like to replace about a 1/4 of the pepper with 1 fresh or pickled jalapeño)
1/4 cup sweet relish
1/2 cup dill relish
1 medium jar of mayo

1. cook and drain noodles/let cool
2. drain pimentos and tuna (chop up the tuna)
3. mix all ingredients except noodles in large bowl (add mayo a little at a time/can add more after you mix noodles if you need to)
4. mix in noodles
5. add salt, pepper and Tony’s to taste
6. chill before serving
